Ainu's POV
~A different day (Probably the next)~I passed by 1-A at some point, and I saw Kaminari, Mina, Sato, and Kirishima looking all gloomy. I decide to see what's going on. Mina's crying and then I hear Deku's voice.
"Maybe they'll end up letting you go. There might be a last minute twist or something."
Sero then joins in.
"Stop Midoriya, by saying that out loud, you're just jinxing them."
Kaminari starts to talk.
"They said whoever failed the exams would have to skip training camp and live in summer school hell. We didn't pass the practicals, so we're doomed." He turns to Midoriya with a fist, with two fingers out, pulled back. "Don't you get it, Midoriya!? Or did All Might knock all the brains out of ya!?" He then jabs Midoriya's eyes with his fingers. I immediately jog up and pull Kaminari's hand away and heal Midoriya of any injuries.
Sero concerningly steps towards Midoriya. "Hands off Kaminari! I'm not sure I'll get to go either. Our team only passed thanks to Mineta. I got knocked out. And since we don't know how they're scoring stuff, I might've flunked."
I sigh as I fix Midoriya up. Kaminari starts crying. I shake my head as I let Midoriya go. He blinks a little, then smiles at me in a thankful way. I smile back and nod. Ururaka also looked thankful towards me as well. The door slides open and it shows Mr. Aizawa.
"Once the bell rings, you should be in your seats."
In a flash, everyone was in their seat while I was just standing there like a dumbass. Mr. Aizawa starts to walk to the front of the class.
"Ah, Arai, you're here. Good. I need to inform you about some things."
"Yes sir."
I turn and stand at the back. Mr. Aizawa arrives at his podium.
"Unfortunately, a few of you didn't pass your final exams. So when it comes to the training camp in the woods, everyone is going!" He does a forced smile.
The four all jump with excitement. "It's a last minute twist!" They said in unison.
Kirishima continues. "We really get to go to camp?!"
Mina clenches her fists in joy and begins to cry tears of joy as well. "Seriously!?"
"Yeah. The good news is that no one bombed the written exam. 5 failed the practical...badly. 2 teams, of course, and then Sero failed as well."
Sero then facepalmed in disappointment. "Aww. Crap. I knew it! Mineta made it to the gate, but I didn't do near enough to pass."
"Allow me to explain. For the practical battles, the teachers made sure to leave a way for the students to win. Otherwise, you never would've stood a chance. We were interested in observing how you each work together and approach the task at hand."
Ojiro looks up at Mr. Aizawa questioningly. "But didn't you promise that the teachers wouldn't be holding back?"
"That was just to get you on edge. Besides, the training camp will focus on building your strength. Those who failed need those lessons the most. We were never going to separate you. That was a logical deception we used." He smiles again.
The 4 who failed were shocked. "A logical deception!?"
Iida starts to tremble with a clenched fist. He starts to say about Mr. Aizawa tricking us or something while the four plus Sero start to....celebrate...?
