𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 - 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗹𝗶𝘅 [ ✓ ]

ᴡʜʏ

BANG CHAN
After yesterday lunch I didn't see Felix at all. He had disappeared of the face of the earth and I wanted to know so badly what I had done wrong. I wanted him to be friends with me, I wanted him to at least say something to me because I'm beginning to think he's not okay.

I shut the door to my house and walked out inhaling the scent of flowers. My mum waved bye from the window and I waved back. I shoved a pink pair of headphones into my ears and ignored the stares I got from some old ladies as I walked past with cupcake earphones.

When I arrived at school I was shocked to see Felix walking in and I pulled out my earphones in anticipation to talk to him. I ran up the stairs and grabbed him before he could go through the door. He jumped when I put my hand on his shoulder and his eyes were wide once more in panic. He kind of calmed down when he realised it was me. Behind me I could hear the others arriving and behind my back I clicked my fingers and signalled them to wait for me. Someone obviously understood me as their conversation halted. I looked at Felix who was panicking again. I smiled trying to calm him down but it didn't really work.

"Yongbok we need to talk. Why do you never talk? You never say a word and I want to know why, you can trust me." I said smiling at him as he averted his gaze from me. He then suddenly pushed me off him and ran off crying. He had left me confused once more and the others came back over to me looking confused and I shrugged again at Felix's actions.

"I'm going to go to the Head teacher later so I could ask where Felix lives and tell him I'm dropping off the work he's missed. You could talk to him there and finally get an answer." Seungmin says and I nod. I wanted to help Felix, he's making me so worried about him.

FELIX
"Yongbok we need to talk." Chan says sternly to me and I panic more, my heart rate went through to the heavens and I wanted to go to an early grave. But I just nodded as usual. Chan didn't know I couldn't make a conversation with him. I couldn't talk to anyone apart from my parents for the past few years.

"Why do you never talk?" Chan asks in Korean a bit too quickly for me. I couldn't understand him so I gestured for him to repeat it. He repeated it and I understood him. I didn't really want to be a burden and he wouldn't even understand me. I look down and avert my eyes from his curious stare.

"You never say a word and I want to know why, you can trust me." Chan said trying to sound reassuring. I can't trust you though. I'm scared you'll tell everyone everything. I looked down out of embarrassment and Chan looked at me more worried. I push him away from me and I ran off home.

Lazily fumbling my keys I walked up the driveway and put the keys in the hole. I slammed the door after unlocking it, tears still rolling down my face. My mum comes running over at the sudden noise and I signed to here, "Call school and say I'm sick today." Then I ran up to my room leaving her unable to reply.
