'I hate to admit that I still miss you, how could I forget? We promised
each other.'
Luna's POV:As sunday passed, monday became a busy work day.
"Hey, Luna." Minhee popped out of his seat.
"Mm?" I answered, immersed on my work.
"I haven't had the chance to talk to you about what happened the other day." He stared at me intently.
I felt his hard gaze and turned to him.
"A whole highschool k-drama happened." I sighed, not wanting to bother explaining.
"Oh my gosh. Is it the cliché thing? Is it the you like your bestfriend but a new girl steals his attention and then you know?" He widened his eyes, showing pure interest.
I looked at him, surprised about his guess.
"Uh, how did you know?" I scratched the back of my head.
"I may have watched a couple of K-dramas here and there. Or maybe a hundred." He shrugged.
I looked at him with a 'wtf' look.
"What? I was bored." He defended.
I turned back my attention to the computer, working on some photos.
"Hello my beautiful people! Are you doing good?" Soobin barged in the room making all of us jump.
"Hi? I guess?" Seungmin awkwardly waved at the unexpected person.
"I'm making the rest of the day free for you two because you filled in the sched." He pointed at me and Seungmin.
"Hey, I'll be alone." Minhee pouted.
I chuckled at his behavior.
"But it's only half an hour though?" I pointed at the clock behind him.
"Work hours are almost over." Seungmin shrugged.
"What's the point?" He added.
"I don't know, actually. I just came here to say that someone is looking for Luna in the lobby. You can all go home now." Soobin walked out.
I shook my head at the weird behavior.
I'm still not used to him.
I grabbed my hand bag and headed to the lobby with Seungmin and Minhee.
We all arrived at the ground floor and separated ways.
I looked for the person, going to the info desk.
"Is there someone looking for me? I heard Soobin said so." I asked politely.
"Ah, yes. He's outside the building." She answered.
I nodded and muttered a small 'thank you'.
I went outside and saw someone facing his back to me.
"Excuse me?" I tapped his shoulder.
"Yeonjun?" I stepped back because of the sudden shock.
"Luna." He breathed out.
"W-why are you here?" All I wanted to do at the moment was hug him and say how much I miss his presence but I know that I can't do that.
"I need an explanation, please. I'm so confused." He pleaded.
My face was now filled with confusion.
Thoughts were running wild inside my head.
"What do I need to explain?" I tightened my grip on my bag.
"You suddenly avoided me. Did I do something? Is there something wrong?" He stuttered.
I felt myself get angry, my hands forming into a fist.
Oh, I'm the one who avoided him?
Yes I did avoid you but that's because you never payed attention to me anymore. I was afraid that I might ruin your fun with Mira.I looked at him dead in the eye.
"Eversince Mira came, have you payed attention to me at all? Eversince she came, did you spare a glance at me? Eversince she came, have you thought about me? I'm sure you didn't." I scoffed.
"I did-"
I felt my emotion take control. My heart beating fastly, hammering in my rib cage. My hidden emotions are now coming out.
"Then why did you stand me up? Why didn't you even say sorry? Why didn't you at least talked to me? You replaced me with Mira! I may seem selfish but we've been friends for years!" I snapped, tears rolling out of my eyes.
"You're like a stranger to me now. What happened? I'm the one who's supposed to ask for an explanation." I cried out.
He stood there speechless.
"If you can't understand me, then let's continue being strangers." He said and left me standing alone.
The clouds suddenly became dull and lightning struck along with the sound of thunder. The streets suddenly becoming dark.
Little raindrops have made it's way to the ground, soaking me. The road was now wet. The raindrops making a pit-pat sound.
My tears were soon mixed with rain as I still stood outside the building.
I cried all my sorrow out, letting the rain wash the pain away.
Oh, how I've longed for this. I've been bottling my emotions.
My clothes were now soaked along with my hair.
Hot tears still flowed out like river contrasting the now cold weather.
My heart was shattered, feeling like it has been dropped from a hundred story building.
My childhood bestfriend, ended our friendship just because of a simple misunderstanding.
I felt the raindrops suddenly stop, so I looked up and saw an umbrella hovering over.
"Let's get you home." Seungmin put his jacket over my wet body and guided me into a car.
He has a car?
I sniffled, still not over what just happened.
"I'll kill him." He said quietly.
I closed my eyes, exhausted of letting out emotions.
I slowly drifted to sleep without even knowing.
