'I'm in the depths of water, I'm drowning in pain.'
Luna's POV:Walking back our way to the company, chatting about nonsense things.
"Jeongin. That muscular baby is wei-"
My phone rang before Seungmin could complete his sentence.
I looked at him apologetically.
I looked at the caller and saw an unfamiliar number.
I hesitantly answered the call.
"Hello?"
I heard faint sounds of sobs and heavy breathing.
"This is Mira." She choked on her words.
I felt my heart beat faster as I looked up at Seungmin, confused.
"Why did you call? Is something wrong?" I asked, worried.
I fiddled with my other hand, having a bad feeling.
"Come here, please." She cried.
I was now on the verge of panicking.
"What happened? Tell me where you are." I walked in circles.
"I'm in the xxx-xxx hospital. Yeonjun, he- he got into a car accident."
I felt myself freeze at the spot. Her words became muffled.
Tears were soon forming in my eyes again.
Seungmin nodded, understanding the situation without me even telling.
I smiled faintly and ran to the place.
Junie, we have to fix our friendship. You can't leave me yet.
I sprinted towards the hospital, panting as I arrived.
"Where's Choi Yeonjun? Where's his room?" I frantically stuttered, still breathing heavily.
My hands were shaking, and all I want to do was see my bestfriend.
"He's in the emergency room, ma'am."
I intended to run to the room but was stopped by a hand gripping my forearm.
"But you may be a fan. I can't let you go in there. Please understand." The lady sternly looked at me.
"I'm a friend. Please let me in." I begged, struggling to escape her grasp.
"I can't-"
"She's with me. Please let her go."
I looked at the voice and saw Mira in her most distressed look, yet.
The lady freed my arm and I turned to Mira.
"Oh god. Are you okay? Where is he?" I stroked her hair.
Mira may not know what's happening between Yeonjun and me and I won't let that affect on how I treat her.
Tears fell from her eyes, her knees becoming weak.
"He's still in the emergency room, being treated. I-I'm not sure what's happening there." She sobbed.
"Let's take a seat first okay?" I guided her to a chair close to where her boyfriend is located.
I smiled at the bitter thought.
"What exactly happened?" I questioned, still calming down the shaking girl.
"He got into a car crash. He-" She stuttered.
"It's okay. You don't need to tell me. I'm so sorry. Now, all you need to do is be strong for him okay?" I persuaded.
She nodded, slowly stopping from crying.
"He won't like seeing you like this." I added.
"I'm sorry, I probably interupted your work day." She apologized, grabbing my hand.
"It's fine, really. You can't be alone here." I smiled softly.
"I don't deserve a friend like you, Luna." She laughed, tears forming again.
I shook my head, disagreeing.
"Just rest for now." I hushed.
She slowly relaxed and rested on the not so comfortable chair.
The atmosphere became quiet.
My heart felt heavy, I feel like I was carrying hundreds of burdens. My mind is empty, too exhausted to think of anything. My legs were hurting, I ran a long distance to get here.
I wouldn't want to know how much Mira is hurting right now. Probably ten times worse than me.
I sighed as I turned my gaze to the now sleeping girl.
I grabbed her phone and scrolled through her contacts.
I called the first person that popped up, hoping it was her close friend.
"Hello?"
"This is Luna, Mira's friend."
"Ah, yes. How can I help you?"
"Mira's asleep in the hospital. We're here for her boyfriend. Can you please take her home? She's really exhausted."
"Sure, send me the address and I'll be there."
I sighed in relief.
I quickly sent the location and put her phone back to her bag.
Her friend quickly came and took Mira home, exchanging a few words with me.
I sat alone in the chair, desperate for good news.
I'm sure few hours passed by and it's now late afternoon.
Still no words from the doctor.
I patiently stayed in the same place, trying my best to keep awake.
My eyes were closing on its own and my head rested against a wall.
Seungmin walked in the said hospital and search for the girl he was looking for.
He scanned the place from left to right, eventually succeeding.
The girl was fast asleep.
He wrapped her in his jacket and carried her to his car, muttering a few words like:
"Aish, so careless."
"Always needs somebody to look for her."
"Selfless girl."
And without even knowing, the boy was now in her home.
Taking his shoes off, he entered the area and did what he should do.
He gently placed the girl who was still sleeping soundly on her bed.
He looked at her angelic face, almost memorizing every feature she had.
He decided to not leave the girl alone for the night. And slept at the couch, not caring how early it still was.
