When I got to class people were cheering, making conversation with me and everything. "Esther is that you yeah?" one boy said.
"African warrior yeah?" I was trying to keep a straight face but it werwnt working I cracked a smile and walked to my seat.
"Esther why are you late?" My English teacher asked.
"because I got into an altercation." I answered.
"oh alright then, do you have your coursework drafts?"
"yeah bits and pieces of it." I picked up my notebook and the shreds of paper.
"and how did this happen, don't give me any stupid excuses."
"i did your homework so don't raise your eyebrows or wait for a tale or a lie cause the long and short of it is one of your students ripped it up." I sighed heavily it actually hurt me that she ripped it up.
"and why don't I believe you?"
The frick I don't know am I you."well I have given you no reason for you not to believe me." I shrugged
She started to raise her voice and I don't like it when people shout for no reason. "do you think I was born yesturday, do I look stupid to you?"
I closed my eyes and breathed deeply before I counted to ten, in my head of course.
"don't ask questions you don't want to hear the answers to, that's one and look at my book all year through I've done every single piece of your work, you yourself said I produce 'exemplary work' so for you to say this now is so contradictory." I took a deep breath before I went on my rant again, she was getting me so mad. "I even showed Ruth my work and sent
a voice note of it to Cheyanne." I turned to Cheyanne, "am I lying?"
She shook her head frantically. I looked back at my teacher with a blank face, awaiting the next words to be exchanged.
You know what just get out Esther you're too much for me, too much for one person.
What have I even said that I'm getting in trouble.I got up and walked out wih my belongings.
"you font need to take your things with you."
And I would listen to you because ..
I ignored her and walked out of her classroom.
