My heart was beating so fast and nothing was going to slow it down, I was swinging open doors, slamming doors i was furious.
"Are you okay?"
"Calm down, stress isn't good for the baby."
"Do you want to sit down?"
All these teachers have suddenly turned nice, what? Is it because I'm pregnant; I dont want their sympathy nor do I want their pity. I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me because i don't need it. Being sorry never changed anything, it will still be the same. I will close my eyes and open them again and I will still be pregnant so they should juat all fuck off and get on with their lives just as i am.
I ignored everyone around me and proceeded with my journey to Jr's college. i was walking so fast that i couldn't keep up with myself, I was so upset, angry and humiliated. I even tried to fool myself into thinking that I'm not hungry and I'd get to Jr's college without a meal. I stopped at subway and got a foot long sub, a drink and a pack of cookies.
I'm not even going to lie having that meal calmed me down a bit, but I was still pissed. Now I will tell you why, how tf does everyone know my business, they all look at me with sad eyes even the people that don't necessarily like. It's nice to know that they have hearts, but dont want the pity. I wonder who told them, when I find out yeah, just know it's peak. I got onto the bus and bit into my sub, omgosh I was no longer angry. If you had tasted this sub yeah, wooh, you would know a peice of Heaven was in there.
I got off and walked up to the college on the far right hand side of the road, this was going to take energy. I sipped my drink and began my journey to the far right. Finally, I had arrived and saw my cousin and sone of his friends and I didn't want to intrude, so i waited on the side a bit away from him and his group of friends.
"Eyy Esther, come here buvv." I trudged over to meet Jr and gave a silly smile when he gave me a hug.
"Why did you take so long?" I shrugged and bit into my sub. I saw Timothy and waved with the bonus of a genuine smile.
"That's all I get, a wave and a fake smile." he scoffed.
"It wasn't fake." I spoke as I walked over to give him a hug, he smelt nice like expensive perfume nice.
Everybody was just so tall and they were just staring at me, so i decided to introduce myself.
"Hello everybody, my name's Esther, it's nice to meet all of you." I smiled thats when they all started shouting their names.
Then out of the crowd, "Yeah mines Jermaine still." bruuh. I rolled my eyes so far back they didn't want to come back. My smile fell so quickly, "That's real nice." sarcasm oozed from my voice like lava from a volcano.
Then the body came to match the voice, oh my goodness someone please take me from here.
"Esther is that you?"he sounded so surprised
"Na it's Robin still."
"You came to visit me yeah?"
"Never that." this guy is too funny you know, me come to meet him. He must be bluffin; I was trying to keep my responses short and sweet.
"Well you're looking nice." I kissed my teeth, I needed him to stop talking to me.
"Jr can we go now." You could hear the annoyance in my voice.
"Wassup, why you want to go now?" Timothy asked, he wasn't Jr but he was good enough.I stuck my hand out to point at Jermaine and moved it up and down.
"What did Jermaine do?" he asked.
"I just want to go, why the questions?" I moaned.
"Alright, I'll call Jr." I sighed in relief.
"I went to your house and you wasn't there."Jermaine's voice was 100% irritating me. I didn't want to hear him, I didn't wasnt to smell him and I most definately didn't want to see him.
"But your mum was and she told me you wasn't going to be in for a while." he moved closer to me and I scrunched up my face like he smelt, he moved back.
"Okay, what do you want me to say?" I shouted.
"What do you want me to say ?" I pronounced every single word slowly.
"Well, erm umm." He stumbled upon his words.
I mimicked him, "Well, erm umm, huh what tf do you want me to say?" A few of the boys laughed, "Maybe I'll say I'm sorry for not being home, what is it you want from me?" I shouted. I just let go all my anger gravitated towards him. I honestly did not want to see him again.
"Okay let's go." Timothy picked up my bag and ushered me away from the college and better yet, away from Jermaine.
We sat at the bus stop for a while and then Timothy spoke, " What went on between you and him?" i shook my haid and told him nothing, but he knew it was more than nothing.
He shook his head, " Okay then." I hinted attitude and scrunched up my nose.
