"Esther." No, no and no. Don't call me. It was too late for me to pretend like I didn't hear him because I stopped, but also too awkward to answer to my name, so I pretended I had revision to do.

"Revision is calling, sorry, talk to you later mate." This is supposed to be the part where I'm allowed to hop along, but no. Timothy has to stop the excuse express from getting to its destination.

"Nah seriously we need to talk." All the contours on his face were exaggerated by the grave look he held on it.

"And revision isn't important no?"

"Stop trying to be a smart arse yeah and just come and listen to what I have to say." I just had to give him that Mimi face like, really Nikko what do you have to say to me that is worth listen to?

"What if I'm done listening?" the house just got that bit quieter like everyone was just tuning in- the volume on the TV was turned down low, you could barely hear it and there wasn't much movement.

"Like what do you have to say that is actually worth my time?" I shifted my weight and had it unevenly distributed, more so to my right leg.

"You do want to talk about the occurrence in the house don't you?" Timothy clenched his jaw; I don't know what for because I was the only one who had the right to be annoyed.

"you could have just been like Esther I have a baby mum instead of moving like we were doing something, I have no right to be mad; you're not my man and I aint your girl." I think I was getting to him because he tensed up and everyone in the house could hear me, this was apparent when I turned to the living room to see those around the door frame scatter and pretend to be occupied with anything but Timothy and I's conversation. This place was practically a hostel so who knows who was tuning in today to today's live special.

"Do you really want to do this here?" why is he being so conscious now? Looks like someone can't handle the heat and I'm just getting into there's no stopping me now.

"Well you said let's talk, so let's do it init." I shrugged, it isn't doing me nada, I aint the one with my peers in the living room being nosy. So let the battle commence.

"That's not my baby mum," oh my gosh is this what we really have to come to lies? What was wrong with just telling me the truth straight up, am I not worthy of it?

"Okay?" I waited for the nonsense he was going to regurgitate next.

"She was just a beat, nothing more." Right now I don't know who's more stupid me for listening or him for giving me irrelevant details to a story I don't want the pages to.

"What does her being a common beat have to do with me?" why did he think the use of 'nothing more' was relevant- I'm not his girlfriend, I'm just appalled at the way he thinks what he did, what we were about to do was okay. I do have morals unlike him and actually consider how people's feelings.

"You had sex with her, right or wrong?" he nodded.

"Was it within a time period whereby she could have got pregnant?" he answered me with a yes, so what made him think that that child she was carrying couldn't be his. What divine protection did he have that protected him from impregnating the girl? I asked the final crucial question.

"Did you hit it raw?" I heard an outbreak of laughter in the living room, I turned in the direction of the laughter and they all shut up. Timothy looked at me like I gave him the most complicated maths question.

"Let me rephrase myself, condom or no condom?" he nodded.

"Use your words we are all big boys and girls aren't we?" I articulated. Timothy rolled his neck up vertebrate by vertebrate and sighed, "no condom, I hit it raw."
