Chapter 14: Regrets

'U didnt tell Veronica tht Joslyn is pregnant did u?' is what the text read. What the hell! How could my best friend be pregnant?! Oh my god. The phone beeped again to acknowledge there was an unread text and this time Mason woke up. "What are you doing?" he asks yawning. "Your phone went off so i went to shut it off and saw this text." i say. "Unlock it." he says wanting me to unlock his phone in my hand. I unlock it. The password is 'Vern' and my password is 'Masn'. He changed his password first and i guessed it, then i changed mine. "Here." i say handing him his unlocked phone. He looks at the phone and when he reads it he looks at me. "Oh." is all he says. I guess that's all he can say. I stare at him waiting for him to say something. "How long have you known?" i ask. I get up and walk to his side of the bed and stood there looking at him. "A week. And a half." he says lightly. "Why didn't you tell me?" i ask calmly. I can't believe he didn't tell me. I can't believe Jo didn't tell me. "I only knew for a week and a half." he says sitting up. "Only. You had a week and a half to tell me. If you want our relationship to work there can't be secrets." i say getting angry. "Veronica. Wait Veronica, what'sgoing on." he says getting up and racing past me as i'm about to walk out the door. I'm about to tell him why i'm getting so mad about him not telling me my best friend is pregnant. But i can't think of the right words. "Because you are being secretive." i say before closing the door and walking to my room and laying down and going back to sleep after an hour of staring at the wall.

Knock knock..... Knock knock....... Knock knock........... Knock knock knock knock................ Knock knock knock knock knock..............

"What!" i yell throwing a pillow at my wooden door.

"Veronica? Vern let me in. I need to tell you something." i hear Jo say trying to open the clearly locked door. I can hear Aiden in the background telling her to just leave me alone. I agree with him i wish she would just leave me alone. "Veronica Lynn Moore!! Open the damn door." she says getting frustrated. I get up and go to my closet and put my lazy day clothes on and open the door. "What the hell do you want?" i say bitchy. I am seriously mad at her for not yelling me she is pregnant and because i had to find out from someone other than her. "Why are you mad at me? And Mason and Aiden?" she asks clueless. Maybe she doesn't know, i would think Mason would have told Aiden and Aiden yell Jo. Guess not. "Because i had to find out from Aiden that you, my best friend was pregnant!" i say raising my voice. Joslyn turns around and gives Aiden a glare. "I didn't tell her!" he says shrugging. She turns back to me and just stands there. She turns back around pushing Aiden out and closing the door and locking it and then turning back around. She walks over and sits on the bed. I stay standing where i am and cross my arms. "I I," she pauses not knowing what to say i guess. "I didn't know how to tell you. I just couldn't take you, the only person that understands me, be mad at me. But i guess that happened anyways." she says starting to cry. I start to feel bad because i mean it's not like she meant to get pregnant. I walk over to her and sit next to her. "Joslyn, i'm not mad. I'm just upset it took you this long to tell me. You know i can't stay mad at you forever." i say smiling snd hugging her. She hugs me back and mumbles 'Thanks' to me before getting up. "I have to go. Go talk to him." she says referring to Mason and walking out the door and leaving it wide open. I sigh and get up. I knock on Mason's door. Nobody answers so i knock again. "Mason." i say letting him know its me, i hear nothing. Maybe he is still asleep. I walk in and see him sitting there asleep. I smile and walk to him and sit beside him deciding how to wake him up. I pull my knees up to my chest and feel the bed move lightly. I look over and Mason is waking up. I don't say anything he just looks at me. He breaks the silence. "Hi." he says simply with no emotion. "I'm sorry. I have trust issues because of my last relationship." i say and Mason smiles. "It's okay. Veronica i really like you. And i know we have to not keep secrets for this to work but that wasn't my place to tell you." he says putting his hand on my knee sending tingles through my leg. "I know. It's just-" im cut off by Mason. "You don't have to tell me, i understand." he says assuring me. I shake my head. "I want to. My ex cheated on me for a year before i found out. Then lied and slept with my best friend." i say remembering Jackson. "I would never never ever do that to you." he says sitting up looking at me. "I know i just haven't been able to trust anyone since then." i say turning my head to him. "I'm sorry that happened to you. Are we good?" he asks smiling kissing my knee again sending tingles. "It was a long time ago. Yes we are good." i say kissing his cheek. "Pathetic." he says waiting for me to kiss him better. I kiss his lips and then hug him. I'm so happy to have him. I am so mushy right now. I get a text and look at it. 'I regret this.' i read from Jo. 'it will get better i promise!' i text back smiling.

Okay i am so sorry i didn't update sooner! My laptop messed up when my grandma put a virus firewall in it and now it stopped working. I might, might not update tomorrow since it's new years eve. My friend is staying the night and we will be doing random things all day. Anyways did you like this chapter? It was Mason and Vern's first fight! But they made up. Yay.
