Chapter 12: Dad?

Knock knock knock knock
"Mason. Door."
"You get it."
"No you. I'm lazy."
"Me too."

Ahh, the perks of having a boyfriend. Mason walks to his door. 3 months and two weeks is how long we have been dating. Liam is talking to everyone, he is a talking machine. Which is good and i have Mason to thank for that. Ashlie and Robert are going strong. I like him i think, i met him twice though. Mason and I went on our first date last night and we went bowling. It was fun, i was tired so i passed out in Mason's room last night. "Who was it babe?" i ask Mason because whoever it was, was talking really low. "May. She said your birth dad called. And is coming to take you to lunch today." he says. I instantly sit up. "Really," I ask shocked "my mom always said my dad was a dick and didn't care about anyone but himself." I say unsure about him. I mean i tried to contact him just for the hell of it but he actually called back. Weird. "Yeah. Most guys who do it with a girl then find out they're pregnant just leave." he says sitting next to me. "What was she whispering about?" i ask curiously. "She said we need to use protection. And stop sleeping together." he says blushing. Awe my boyfriend is so cute when he is blushy. "What! She thinks we have sex? I'm still a virgin!" i say surprised. "Okay. First she does. Second really?" he says surprised that i'm a virgin. "Really, i have never had sex." i say laughing at his face. "Oh. Okay" he says smirking. "Okay, maybe okay can be our always quote by Augustus Waters a.k.a Ansel Elgort." I say smiling at my smartness. "Who? And what?" Mason asks. I stare at him. "Give me the remote." i demand. He hands me the remote and i look up 'The Fault in our Stars' and it's $11.99 to buy. I click buy right away. "Hey anything we buy i have to pay my mom!" he says trying to stop me. "I will pay you back." i say smiling and laying my head on Mason's shoulder and clicking 'Play'.

"No i'm not."
"Yes , you are. I want my dad to meet you right away and i don't want to go alone." i say. I really don't want to go alone because i've never met this guy. It's just weird. "Nothings going to happen babe," he says reassuring me "After we meet him, how about we go swimming. Just me and you." He said smiling at me. "Okay." i say happily. "Okay, go get ready. I have to get ready now." he says looking at me. I know what he is going to do. So i do it before him. I lean in and kiss him gently. Mason starts kissing me faster. I stop and lean back. "Bye." i says smiling widely at him. "Tease!" he yells at me laughing right before i close his door. I love doing that to him. I get to my room and the bed is all messed up so i make it neat. I pick up my room a bit since i'm rarely in my room. I'm always in either Mason's or my sisters room. I go to my closet to pick out what i want to wear. I get blue jean shirt and under that i have my teal bikini. I have black army boots and blue jeans. With a cute hat i might wear. And of course the only necklace i will ever wear is my infinity sign Mason got me. I go to the bathroom take a shower and put my clothes on. I'm ready about 35 minutes later all i have to do is put my hair in a fishtail braid. I walk out of the bathroom and see Mason laying on my bed playing on his phone. "I just have to do my hair." i tell him and as soon as i finish my hair he comes up behind me and grabs my hand. "You look amazing. As always." he says guiding me out of my bedroom. I turn off my light and close the door. Mason and i walk down stairs and a man is standing there. When we get downstairs to where he is standing nobody says anything. "You must be Valery." he says looking at me. "Veronica." i say simply. I'm his daughter the least the retard could do is remember my name. "Oh. Yes sorry. My bad." he says. He doesn't even look like he wants to be here. Like someone forced him to come to see his oldest child. May told me he has five other kids. I am probably never going to meet them and i don't care if i do or not. "This is my boyfriend Mason, i hope it's okay he tags along." i say not even asking him if it's okay with him or not. I don't care he can't rememberer my name so why should i have to ask him. "I thought it was going to be just us. But okay." he says under his breath. "I don't have to go. Either Mason goes or nobody goes." i demand. "Don't talk to me like that." he says sternly. I'm guessing druggie or drunkie. "Why your not my dad. Or at least you haven't been for seventeen years of my life!" i say angrily. "Excuse me young lady whether you like it or am your father. And you can't do anything about it!" he yells at me. Mayne both druggie and drunkie. "Exactly you may be my biological father but you are NOT my real father. You know the one that comes to SEE you on birthdays and important milestones in your life." i say yelling at certain words. Mason walks us to the stairs and we go where nobody can see us. "Try to make it work. After all he came." he says smiling lightly. "At least do it for me. I want you to have some kind of family." he says sympathetically. "Fine." i say. Mason leans down ad kisses my head softly. "Thank you." he says and we walk back out. "Let's start over." i say grinding my teeth. Because he is acting more like an asshole than a dad. "Deal. My name is Marcus." he says holding his hand out. "And i am Veronica," i says smartly and shake his hand "this is Mason my amazing boyfriend." i say. I throw the amazing in to piss my 'dad' off. "Hi, Mr.-" Mason starts to say but is cut off by Marcus. "Call me Marcus." he says in a straight face. "Hi, Marcus. It's a pleasure meeting you." he says still smiling. This guy smiles a lot. I love that. "Let's go shall we?" Marcus says walking out of the door. Before Mason and i walk out i kiss Mason's cheek. "Thanks. For coming." i say. "Always." he says and we walk out to his old weird ass car. It's brown? I stand there looking at the car. "I call backseat." i say right after Mason gets in the back. "Don't do anything back there you too." Marcus says strictly. "It's not like we are going to have sex with sitting 2 feet away." i say sarcastically. Mason laughs a bit, not too loud. "Okay, smartass." Marcus says smartly. "Damn. Asshole." i says under my breath. "Don't cuss."
"I can do what i want. You can't tell me what to do considering this is the longest you have ever seen me." i say. Nobody says anything after that. We all sot in silence for the next twenty minutes until Marcus pulls into McDonalds. "Really?" i say getting out. "Yes. Your a kid i thought you would be happy." he says sarcastically. Oh, how i hate this man. I can tell Mason doesn't like hime saying these things to me because he i grinding his teeth. We sit at a table and we are about to go up to order but Marcus gets up. "I will be right back." he says walking to the bathroom. "Let's go." i say getting up. We get up and are in like to order when i look over. "Mason, he is leaving!" i say pointing to the man casually walking away. I run out the door and start yelling. "Really? Can't spend one day with your daughter?" Marcus turns around and smiles. "You caught me." he says laughing. "What the hell are you laughing about?" i says. Mason walks out with the food we ordered. "I'm just. I have to go get something." he says. I grab the coke drink out of Mason's hand and take the lid off. "Fine bye! Here's something to remember me by." i say and splash the coke in his face. "Bitch." he says. "Yay! I'm not you daughter anymore." i say walking away.
"Well that happened." Mason says.
I don't reply.
"Are you okay?" he asks stoping me from walking. "Yes. I am fine, really i am." i say truthfully.
"Okay." he says returning to my side. "Can we still swim?" i ask. "Of course." he replies smirking.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Okay so it's Christmas Eve and i am SICK! Yeah i threw up this morning and i still feel pretty bad. Anyways i think this chapter is long because the others where short so i wanted to make it longer. So, i hit 300 reads! YAY! OK so yah.
