Karla laid on the couch that was facing the tv while Jess laid on the couch that was adjacent to that couch. Karla had just got off the phone with William, inviting him over for the fourth time that week.
Jessica, Karla, Zack, and William has all been really close friends for a long time, but when the time came for them to live with each other, something inside of them made them nervous, so the girls lived together, and the boys lived together.
But they all might as well live with each other. They boys are always at their house, spending the night, cooking, watching movies, cleaning as if they actually paid rent.
Jessie played subway surfers on the couch, slightly excited that Zack was coming over. "When are they coming?"
"They said that they were at the store getting dinner, so 30 minutes to an hour." Jess hummed back and continued her game.
Karla surfed through the TV, trying to find something entertaining other than the K-Drama that jess was "rewatching" for the third time.
She eventually decided to settle on some cartoon that she had never heard of before.
Finally the boys walked through the door without knocking. They carried all of the groceries in one go, not spending any time for a second trip.
"Jesus fuck! Why did you guys get so much?!"
"Well I finished your cheese it's yesterday," William nervously smiled at her and showed her the large family pack, "and we ran out of snacks here so we grabbed a whole bunch. And we got a lot of candy, and then of course stuff to make dinner, and then stuff for breakfast because I'm tired of cereal." William was searching through each bag, making sure he listed everything.
"Well you guys didn't need to do that." Karla slightly scolded, but she also never rejected free food. Jess nodded and glared playfully at Zack, pointing a shaming finger at him. He chuckled and then raised up a box of rainbow goldfish in front of her face, to which she grabbed and giggled.
"How did you know I was craving these?" She tan and grabbed a small salsa bowl, a perfect sized bowl for goldfish.
"Magic?" Zack went through some of the groceries, pitting things away. Karla was looking around them until she spotted a bag of Nutella, talkis, hot Cheetos, and the extremely hot Raman noodles.
"Oh my gosh, Jess, they got the really good stuff!" She grabbed the bag and ran to the tall girl who was eating her goldfish peacefully.
They finished putting everything away and enjoyed watching vines on the TV.
Soon enough, the sun started setting and Jess got up to start dinner. But when she pulled the supplies out, she was slightly confused on what the boys wanted for dinner. "Um Zack? I'm confused." Zack immediately got up and went to the kitchen.
"What is it?" He went by her side, looking at the ingredients.
"Well I just wanna know what I'm making. Like spaghetti?" He chuckled and started opening up the package of penne noodles.
"We're gonna make a sausage pasta skillet."
He lead her through the dinner, helping her and overall having a fun time goofing around. Meanwhile, William and Karla we're watching them act so natural together, and shipping them from afar.
"I can't believe you dumped salt onto my head!" Jess belted out, ruffling her own hair over the trash can. Zack started laughing again, holding his stomach from the pain. "You think this is funny?" She stood straight up, hands on her hips, and glaring at the tall man before her. She then quickly grabbed the salt and put it into his hair.
"Oh shit!" He tried to shake it out of his head, but it just made it sink deeper and settle. "You little..." he then decided to chase after her. Unluckily for her, she was too tall to dodge, crawl, or hide away, so he quickly grabbed her and set her on top of the counter. "You rat."
"You did it first! Look at us, now we're dandruff twins!" She smiled a large smile at him and he just stared at her, still playfully glaring at her. Eventually she nervous laughed because he was still staring at her. "Don't look at me like that... you amaze me." Zack cracked from that started chuckling, turning away to stir the meat and noodles.
As Jessie sat there, she thought about how close Zack was to her face. Her cheeks quickly turned red and she rushed to get a glass of water.
When she got to Zack's side, she quickly noticed that his face was red. "God fuck it's hot over the stove." Jess nodded and handed him some cool water. He smiled at homer and chugged it, soon turning off the stove and getting the plates ready.
"Dinner is ready folks." William and Karla quickly got up and rushed to the table like children.
"How is it dealing with dandruff?" William asked Zack and I as we sat down the plates of food.
I glared at him, "well, Zack decided salting the top of my head like a steak was a good idea." William chuckled and Karla shook her head.
We ate our food up, enjoying a glass of wine on the side. Even though Karla was underaged, she was only 20, she still enjoyed a little bit of alcohol we let her have.
If we had vodka in her reach, that bottle would be empty.
