Zack loaded the ship, shoving each crate on board with his men to help.
"Is this all of them?"
"Yes. We should probably leave now before they notice." Zack nodded and left to the wheel as the men settled to their posts.
Zack ordered his men around, yelling for them to drop the sails and turn each one.
"Alright let's open the crates." They were all in a calm part of the sea, gentle rocking done by the waves.
All of the crates were shoved in the hold. As a few of the men, including the captain, got down there, they opened a few. A few gold coins, jewels, and other stuff was shoved into them, perfect for trade or sale.
Zack rested in his quarters. Relaxing to the sound of his men singing, drinking, dancing, and playing a little bit of music.
A knock on his door interrupted his rest as he grumbled for the person to come in. The second in command made his way through the room and sat with Zack, handing him a bottle of whiskey.
"So where are we headed captain?"
"Versalè. They have good trades and sales. Not to mention the women there are impeccable." William smirked at his captain, fully knowing what he meant.
"Alright. I'll tell a few of the men to quiet down." William hiccuped as he wobbled out of the door. "Goodbye." William shut the door and Zack placed the bottle on the floor, not in the mood to drink at all.
Zack eventually fell asleep from the peaceful rocking of the ship. William and the boys were out on deck singing songs and drinking whatever spirits they could find. Tomorrow was going to be a big day for them with plenty of money to earn and plenty of money to spend.
"Zack, wake up." William shook Zack awake then quickly left the room to let the captain get ready.
"Have we arrived?"
"We're about to. Versalè is right over there." Joel pointed at a near but distant land and the captain just nodded.
Once they arrived, an greedy old man came around to the docks and patted Zack on the shoulder. "Perfecto! Just in time." The old men looked at his men behind him and motioned for them to get onto the ship and to take what they were hired to do.
But before the men could even place a foot onto the ship, all of the pirates brought knifes up to their throat and stopped them in their tracks.
"My own men will bring out the crates." Zack firmly looked at the smaller man and waited for him to bring his men back."
"Alright! It's the captain's ship." The old man, after a long staring contest with Zack, brought his men back behind him and told them to stay. With that, the pirates made their way to the hold and carried the crates of goods up.
Once they were all stacked and counted, the men received their pay and were off to roam freely through the city.
"We can't stay for long," William told the whole group, just a few members being out of the loop, "soon they'll figure out that we kept a lot of the gold."
"We have moonrise to leave. If we don't leave by then, we're belly up." Zack stared at his men and they nodded. "So if by moonrise someone is not there, then you must leave without them. Whether that's me or anyone else."
"Aye aye." Most of the men said in unison. They all left to go to their favorite bar in Versalè. The women their were pretty and the beer there was great.
Nearing nightfall the men got up from their spot and headed to the ship. Zack left them to go take a minute walk, just to admire the land and city for a bit.
As he was walking he heard a beautiful hum coming from one of the alleyways. Zack's drunken body gravitated towards the singing and he eventually found himself standing menacingly at the start of an alley. There at the end was a woman, wet in the hair and stained red from a body laid on the floor.
"Hello." Her voice called down to him and bounced in his head.
"I'm, I have to go." But before he could leave she latched onto his arm. Her face was now very visible and very angelic.
"Why are you in such a hurry?"
"I have places to be."
"Like where?"
"Like anywhere that's not here." Just then Zack elbowed the woman before him and
