Jessica walked along her garden, picking herbs for her dinner. Karla was to come over that night with William and her son Daniel.

Her garden was quite the sight. Full green plants, bushes of flowers, bright fruit trees, and Jessica's favorite, her flower archway lit up the whole sky, a place she loved to get lost in. A place where she could look down each way and never see the outcome.

A knock came from her door and she rushed to it after putting a cherry pie on the windowsill. "Karla!" She hugged the woman, smiling at William as she looked at him over Karla's shoulder.

"Hey Jess!" Karla walked inside, guiding her boy forward.

"This is a very nice home Jessie." William smiled at her as he closed the door behind him.

"You say that every time you come over."

"Well it's true. You still keep your plants alive just the same, and it always looks so nice."

Jess giggled as she walked back into the kitchen. "Daniel, come here!" He ran over to her in the kitchen and she sat on the floor next to him, hiding from Karla and William. "I made this for you." She winked at him and gave him a blueberry pastry. "It's a secret." She placed her finger over her mouth and he giggled, copying her movement.

Daniel quickly ate it and Jess wiped off any evidence from his face. "What are you doing over there with my kid?" William called out, relaxing on the couch next to Karla, watching nature unfold through the large window.

"Showing him how to mash cherries!" She winked at Daniel again and he laughed.

"Aunt Jessie?"

"Yes nephew Daniel?"

"Can we go pick some fruits?"

"Yes!" Jess walked to the back door and gave the kid a basket.

Out in the garden, Jessie put Daniel up on her shoulders so he could pick lemons. She helped him pick some strawberries, and some herbs. "You guys can take these home with you, alright?"

"Alright! Mom will love them!"

"I'm sure she would. Would you like to go for walk down there?" She pointed down her flower tunnel, smiling at him. "We can say hi to the bees and butterflies.

"Bees?!"

"Are you scared of them?" She bent down to his level, holding his hands for max comfort.

"They hurt you."

"That's only if they think you're a bully. If they think you're a mean bad guy then they will try and protect themselves. But they don't wanna harm you. It hurts them to hurt you. And you're the nicest person I know, I'll say hi to the first bee we see to show you, okay?" Daniel slightly smiled at her and grabbed her hand.

She guided him through the tunnel, Daniel asking a billion questions such as "what flower is this? How did the flowers grow like this? What types of leaves are these?" And Jess answered them all, not skipping a heartbeat to answer the curious boy's questions.

"Look, a bee!"

"A bee?" Jess bent down to a flower and saw the bee sitting in the nectar.

"What is he doing?"

"He is getting pollen."

"What is pollen?"

"It helps plants grow. And they bring it to their hive to make honey."

"Honey? Like the stuff I put on my biscuits?" Jess giggled and nodded.

"So say thank you to him for making you honey and for keeping these flowers alive."
