PERCY
Short answer: I can't and I didn't. I've been lying to everyone. I've been hurting myself...again.
It's been a month, I thought I'd have stopped by now. I told Will I would stop, but I just can't. It's an addiction. I can't get rid of it with a snap of my fingers.
My nightmares have gotten worse too. I've woken up in the middle of the night far too many times.
The worst part? That stupid bond got worse and I have to force myself to not tell Nico the truth. That's why during the full moon I had locked myself in my cabin the whole day.
That's also the reason why my head is stuffed in my pillow as I lay in my bed at one in the afternoon, skipping everything I'm supposed to be doing. Not like I care anyway.
I almost jumped out of my skin when pounding was heard on the door. I groan and roll myself out of bed. I tiredly walk to the door and swing it open.
"Let's go." Before I can process anything, I am being dragged out of my cabin by the son of Hades.
"I don't think I have a choice," I mumbled, following right behind him. I looked down as I stepped on the grass with my bare feet. I merely shrug and continue after Nico.
After walking for what felt like hours, we finally stop right in front of the others.
"Okay, why was I brought here?"
"You've been acting weird. Spill the beans," Leo says from beside Calypso.
"How have I been acting weird?" I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at each individual.
"You've been zoning out a lot, staying in your cabin, looking gloomy all the time, and you've been staying away from Nico. So, what's going on?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm ignoring you guys," I say bluntly and begin to walk away from them.
Two hands grab onto my arms and pull me around.
"Why?"
I shrug. "Needed some alone time. I had to think, is all."
"For a month?"
"Uh...yes," I say nodding my head. "I had a lot to think about."
"Fine, what were you thinking about."
"Nico," I say immediately before my eyes widen. "Uh, forget I said that. I meant...yeah, I got nothing."
Leo looked like he was forcing back a laugh.
"Okay, so you're thinking about Nico and ignoring all of us."
"Yes, I am. But not so much Nico but more of the bond that has to do with Nico."
Nico just blinks at me.
"Yep, I'm leaving now. Have a great day." I take a step back before I'm pulled back into the circle of hell.
"Gods dammit, people. Can't I just sulk in peace?"
