When we arrived at the cemetry and John B explained what we were doing here. The fact that we actually at a cemetry in the middle of the night hit me. The cemetry gave me the creeps.
"Voi-effing-là." JJ commented.
"My great- great grandmother Olivia... Redfield. It was her maiden name." John B explained.
"So just to be sure, what are we going to do here exactly, it's a grave, what are we looking for." I questioned, he might've explained some things on the way here, but it still wasn't clear to me since it was kinda hard to believe.
"Anything that might help us find the gold." John B answered.
I simply nodded, the fact that there was a chance we actually had to go in there, kinda freaked me out, but I gues that wasn't the case for the pogues. So I kept quiet.
"Help me with the door, c'mon." John B asked as JJ and Pope stepped forward. But to my expectations, the door didn't budge.
Before I could say anything about that, a loud hiss was heard from beneath me, I immediatly jumped back as I realized there was a snake beneath my feet.
"Woah woah woah, that's a moccasin, all right. Ye olde Dr. Cottonmouth. Death in all grass." JJ comented, normally I would've laughed at the sillyness of that comment, but right now, all I could think of was the damn snake slowly moving around us. That was until JJ started barking at it.
"JJ, shut up." Kie protested.
"Why would you bark at a snake." I asked.
"You're gonna wake the dead, man." Pope joked.
"They're afraid of dogs, everyone knows that." JJ answered to all of our protests. "Wait hold on, there is one, there's probably dozens."
"Why would you say that, this place already gives the creeps."
"Aw is the princess scared of snakes." JJ joked as he wrapped one arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer.
"Am not." I pouted as I elbowed him softly in his side.
"Look, we're not gonna get in there, all right. It's not budging." Pope comented. "We should probably just go."
"I can get through." Kie said, breaking the silence that had slowly build up.
"What, are you crazy?" I said.
"No, no, no, no. You think you're gonna fit through that hole." John B protested.
"She'll fit through easily, it's just incredibly stupid." I commented.
"Look this is about your dad, and I honestly, I really don't believe in it, but you deserve to know the truth." Kie said, it was nice to know I wasn't the only one here who didn't really believed it. "I'll do it."
"Can you help me with that." Kie said, trying to get the branches away from the hole.
"I'm gonna boost you, all right. I've seen it in the movies several times. Ready?" JJ commented.
"Remind me what we're looking for?"
"You'll know when you see it." John B explained, but his explanation couldn't be more vague.
"Hold my flashlight." Kie said as she walked towards JJ who was standing with his hands ready for Kie to put her foot in.
"And on three..." JJ started but Kie clearly didn't wanna wait for him so she jumped up before JJ could even start counting. "Okay, never mind, just forget about three."
I licked my lips as Kie climbed through the hole, we didn't know what was on the other side, and JJ's comment about there being more snakes, didn't help with my nerves.
