Chapter six

*Marks flashback I know I said it would only be in Ethan's POV but I don't think a flashback counts*

A sigh escaped my lips as I sunk into the couch farther, flipping channels when an alert flung onto my screen and onto my phone, it read

Government alert

Then the news showed in the screen a panicked news lady was present, there were people running around like crazy and there were distant screams

"Please listen to me. Lock up you door and stay hidden. Don't go outside no matter what. Don't answer your door no matter who it is. Find something to defend yourself. If one of them get in, kill it.
No matter who it is, if it's your wife, your neighbor, your child, you mother. Kill it. Stab,shoot, hit it repeatedly until it stop moving. They-"

all of a sudden something blew up, fire flung everywhere and children's crying could be heard as well as the camera mans screams, the camera dropped facing sideways
A women ran across the screen screaming when she was tackled by a man who bit her in the neck and began ripping her throat out
The screen went black and my lights flickered till they went out.

Chica barked from somewhere in the house and I stood up, in absolute darkness I turned my phone flashlight on and began walking to the fuse box when I heard the door open, I shut my flash light off and slowly walked back towards the door to see a shadow of someone slightly lit up by the street lights
"Hello?" I called out still ducking behind the wall so the person couldn't see me

No answer

I peeked out again and my eyes adjusted to the darkness better and with the little bit of light I was able to tell who it was
"Oh Amy it's just you, are you alright?" I asked fumbling with my phone to turn the flashlight on

Still no answer

"Amy?" I questioned turning my flashlight on and pointing it at her
I almost screamed at the sight before me
Her cheek was ripped out so her teeth were exposed her eyes were white and her neck was ripped out, bones exposed as blood splayed out everywhere

"Oh my god" I whispered she lunged at me and tackled me to the ground, she flailed her arms and tried to bite me I kicked her legs and shot her off me running into a room she followed. I peeked behind myself, slamming into a wall in the process she lunged at me and I dodged losing my balance but quickly throwing myself up and out the room, slamming and locking the door behind me

I ran towards the door and was about to run out when Chica came running behind me, I paused and thought for a moment before grabbing her leash and hooking it on her collar
"Cmon!" I yelled running out the door, Chica keeping pace, I ran towards my car when I realized I didn't have my keys
"Fuck!" I yelled to myself, I began hearing shrieking and footsteps running

I glanced to the other side of the car to see about eight of those things running at me I tightened my grip on the leash and booked it down the road
Passing many other people, I made it to the end of the street and I was running past a gas stations suddenly a very loud explosion happened and I was thrown to the ground, fire and smoke swallowed the area around me

I brought myself back to reality and held my head up glancing at the area where the things were chasing me to see them on fire either running around or laying on the ground I glanced up at the end of the leash to see Chica laying on the ground, a little bit of blood poured from a wound on her side
I pushed myself up and scrambled over to her, she was still alive I scooped her up in my arms and began running again

I chased down the street as fast as I could, Chica lay limp in my arms and I felt blood soak into my shirt
I glanced behind me to see a whole lot of the things following me, I continued running forward towards a bridge
Tears poured down my face as my lungs burned, when I made it to the bridge I was late to find out it was collapsed in the middle, I glance behind me seeing a hundred of them racing towards me I continued running, my mind already made up I neared the edge

"Don't worry Chica" I mumbled to only her as I launched myself off the bridge into the raging water beneath

Oh I haven't updated in A long time
I've been busy with packing for camping and haven't had time to sit down so this ones for all you who have been waiting
