Chapter 15: The Third And Final Battle

~8s POV~

I woke up at 6.30 am. I checked outside, it was still quite dark so I got dressed into my agent outfit, picked up my Kensa Splatterscope and quietly headed to the living room. Everything was quiet, I assumed Cora was still asleep, so I turned the lights on. But out of no where, Cora appears and scares me! "Hey Tobias." "How long have you been awake Cora?" I sat next to her on the couch, waiting for an answer. "You don't wanna know, anyway, you want breakfast?" She got up an walked to the kitchen. "Yeah, but make something simple, I wanna get to headquarters early so I can train a bit and talk to Callie about something." After 5 minutes of waiting, Cora walked back my way with 2 plates of toast covered in butter. She smiled at me, sat down and we both started to eat. We stayed silent while eating and once we finished we got our stuff together and headed outside.

It was turning 6.45 am. The sun was just rising. Cora grabbed my hand and rushed to the manhole. "Cmon! We gotta be quick!" We both turned into squid form and went down, after arriving, she pulled me toward the Canyon and sat down on the edge. I joined her, and as I did I saw the most magnificent thing on earth. The sun was rising on the horizon line; an ombre of colours covered the sky. Pink, reds, oranges, yellows, all blending together. The white clouds barley showed up because of this sight, but it was all worth it. "Its perfect, isnt it?" Cora placed her head on my shoulder and I blushed. "Yeah, it is..." I placed my head on hers and we stayed there for a few minutes, looking into the distance and pretending nothing else was happening.

"Hey lovebirds!" We turned around to see Callie behind us looking straight at us, smirking because she had just seen us laying each others heads on each other. "You guys are here early." "Yeah, we are. We both woke up quite early and wanted to get here so we could train a bit before the big fight." I told Callie as me and Cora both got up. "I'm gonna go and use the punching bags as targets. See you in a bit!" Cora walked off to the training area while I stayed behind with Callie. "There's something else on your mind, Tobias, what is it?" Callie asked me. "I-I...." I sighed and tried again, "I have feelings for Cora, and I want to ask her out, but I dont know how to." I looked down and rubbed the back of my head, I was blushing again. "Well, do it when you feel like it's the perfect time. I mean like, you could do it after the battle that happens today. Or you could wait until you feel like its time." "Thanks for the advice Callie." We both walked back to headquarters and changed the topic to Sonia. "So, you thinking about making Sonia an agent?" "I don't know. I haven't made my mind up, I'll see about it after the fight." Callie told me that she hadn't really seen her fight, but after today, she might have a better idea about her skill.

As we approached base, we saw Leon and Sonia walking in, hand in hand like always. "Hey guys! You ready for the fight?" Leon turned to me with Sonia and replied. "Yeah, we are. I was just telling Sonia about Octavio and the army he has; giving her more information about the enemy before she fights with us." Sonia smiled at both of us, then she went and joined Cora for practice. "So Tobias, when are you making the move?" Leon smirked as he asked the question, he knew about my feelings for Cora and wanted to know if I was gonna ask her out. "I've decided I'm gonna do it after the battle today, Callie gave me the idea after she found out that I had a crush on Cora. Well, I'll sorta be making a move, I just don't have a plan on how I'll do it." "You'll figure it out. You've got plenty of time."

"Behind you!" Pearl and Marina ran in, with backpacks and weapons. "We are ready for the battle!" "Great!" Callie came over and asked us all to come inside and sit at the table. "Everyone is ready, and we have help from Sonia and Captain. You will all be needed for today's fight. 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and Sonia, you will all be fighting from the ground. Octarians will be attacking you as well as Octavio, and Marie. Me and Captain will be using the truck and staying further back, making sure to give tips to you all whilst you're fighting. Our goal today is to save Marie, and defeat Octavio and his army. We won't be taking the helicopter today, as we have the truck that flys, so you'll all jump off once we are there. Let's go and defeat Octavio for the third and last time!" Callie finished what she was saying, and lead everyone to the truck. We all got on, and 1 and captain were flying it. It was now 9am. We flew off to the boss kettle and jumped off once we got there.
