Diana was very talkative today. The second she got her voice back she didn't stop talking. Some things important, and some things not. Kai enjoyed having an actual voice conversation with her. Damon grew disgusted at them getting closer and immediately went to put a stop to it.

"Hey Damon what's up." Anastasia said, suddenly in front of him.

"Hey Annie, don't got time right now." He tried moving past her.

"I can't let you do that." She smiled nervously.

"Annie," he said in a threatening tone. "What's going on?"

"Well...."

"Do not tell me my sister and and that parasite are..." he gagged. "Dating."

"What's going on?" Diana and Kai walked up in happy moods.

"Are you sexing with Kai?" Damon raised his voice.

"Sexing?" Diana asked furrowing her brows.

"Do you want to?" Kai joked.

"I will kill you." Damon dead panned.

"No! It's not that." Anastasia stopped them. "Something happened when we were doing Diana's mind spell the other day."

"What happened?" Damon spoke slowly.

"Kai and Diana died in her head and-"

"You died?"

"Sort of." Diana answered.

"It was a trip." Kai chuckled.

"Anyways , Kai sort of, grew feelings-"

"What?" They all said at the same time.

"Of his own! Not Luke's, not sociopath feelings, but his own actual human emotions. Then Kai and Diana did something amazing."

"I have emotions?" Kai was confused.

"I gave him emotions? Aww." Diana touched her heart.

"What amazing thing did they do?" Damon was still angry.

"They sort of became, mind bonded when they supported each other in her head." Anastasia rubbed her hands together nervously.

"THEY'RE BONDED?!" Damon screamed.

"What's that mean?" Diana asked.

"You guys are like, connected mentally and emotionally now. You're each other's bonded." She smiled.

They all looked at her confused.

"You know that werewolf show Caroline watches? How the wolves have human anchors to control them?" Anastasia rolled her eyes.

"Oh!" Diana and Kai exclaimed. "I get it now."

Damon made stuttering noises to them before walking away filled with anger.

"Reminds me of that one wattpad story I read that one ti-" Anastasia started to say

"So this is a wattpad situation? We're like what, soulmates?" Diana asked laughing.

"Oof I'd hope not." Kai said chuckling back.

Diana kinda dropped her smile, "what's that supposed to mean?"

"What's that now?" He turned to her.

"You seemed, disappointed that you're bonded to me." Diana pursed her lips and came off rather passive aggressively.

"I'm not-disappointed. More like, hoping...that we're not." He was unsure how to say what he wanted to say.

"What makes you think I'd want to date you in the first place?" She crossed her arms.

Anastasia slowly walked away until she reached a door and ran out it.

"I'm not saying I want to date, I don't date-"

"Oh come down you e-boy."

"I'm still trying to process the fact that my emotions are back."

"You've had Luke's emotions for a while now, get over it."

"Why? So I can grow feelings for you? Are you that desperate?"

Diana stopped short. He stopped right after he said that and felt bad.

"I meant-"

"I know what you meant, dick. Bonded remember?" She touched her head sarcastically and walked away, masking her face of hurt.

Goddammit Kai cursed himself.

Kai felt exactly how he did when he first arrived at the Salvatore house. Everyone gave him the cold shoulder just because he said stupid things to Diana without thinking. Just when he had finally been welcomed into a group of her, James and Anastasia. Today was Anastasia's birthday and they were all driving to a cool bar out of town. The whole car ride was terribly awkward.

Damon rode with Stefan and Elena. Caroline rode with Bonnie, and the normal trio rode together. With Kai. He didn't have a vehicle to use at the moment and every other group had absolutely refused to have him ride in their cars.

"Excited?" Diana asked as she drove.

"Super! I'm planning on doing it tonight." Anastasia said excitedly.

"Finally! Congrats, love." James said from the backseat as he sat next to Kai.

"You're really goona ask out Bonnie today? No chickening out?"

"Nope! I've been alive almost two hundred years, I should be able to ask out a girl. A amazing...talented...gorgeous..." she trailed off.

Diana smiled and bit her lip looking to her, "Amazing , talented and gorgeous. Our friend Bonnie sure is a special one."

"Yeah, I remember that one time I stabbed her with an arrow. She was so angry." Kai spoke up for the first time, laughing as if it was the funniest thing ever.

The car fell silent. Kai smacked his lips at the awkward tense air. James put a finger to his lips "Shh darling. Shh." Kai was silent the rest of the ride to the bar. On arrival when they got out Diana decided to play with him by locking the car before he got out. He stopped and looked around, knocking on the glass.

"Hey uh, Diana? I think you locked me in the car." His voice muffled.

"Oh. Did I? Hmph. I hope you find a way out." She sarcastically put a hand to her heart in fake concern.

"This is illegal. It's so hot outside. I'll die in here. I'm goona be one the news!" He tried opening the door.

"When you start dying, honk the horn three times okay?" She spoke to him like a child and began walking away.

"Diana! Don't leave me to die!" He dramatically exclaimed to her and he honked the horn repeatedly. Diana smiled lightly as she walked in the bar, unlocking the door without Kai hearing.
