James' bite seemed to get smaller as Anastasia rubbed the ointment on it. His heart seemed to return to a normal pace, symbolizing it was working. Diana let out a sigh of relief and hugged Kai. He was stunned and didn't hug back because she pulled away quickly.

"Alright, Parker. Your turn." Anastasia gestured to him.

"I already told you, Hero didn't do anything to me." He backed away.

"Until we know for certain, come here." She ordered.

"I am a-okay. I'm just goona-" Diana vampire sped to him and sat him down forcibly on the couch.

"You're goona be fine, okay?" She felt his tiny thoughts of fear.

He nodded slightly, masking his gratitude with annoyance. The feeling of having someone actually care about his well being was still something he was getting used to. He hated to admit that it felt nice. It filled something he wished he his family would've.

Anastasia placed her hands around his head as he sat there, feeling awkward. She then quickly took her hands away and placed them on her hips. "Som of a bitch."

"What? What is it?" Diana asked concerned.

"It's a terror truth mind spell. Basically, it lies to your memories and you don't know what's real. It only happens when you falls asleep, but you'll never know if you actually wake up and it eventually drives you insane. It's also terribly difficult to remove."

"Well...that's not good." Kai pursed his lips.

"How do we remove it?" Diana asked.

"Well it is amazing help that he has a vampire as his bonded, but it is dangerous."

"Of course it is."

"Kai will have to fall asleep and live through some memories. Then the spell will set in, making him suffer. That's when you enter his mind, and travel to the middle of it." Anastasia began explaining.

"Travel to the middle of it?" Diana asked as if this were insane.

"Yes, depending on his life, you may or may not see some things. Anyways— once you're in, I'll pull some happy memories for Kai to think about. Then you have to find a version of him, and make him recite a good spell, to get rid of the terror spell."

"Right. That's not difficult at all." Kai said sarcastically.

"It is actually extremely difficult, and you might-"

"I know I know. Get stuck in my head forever." Kai waved off.

"Actually this is different. If you fail, the spell will exhaust your mind to the point where it stops and kills you. Your mind literally shuts off and your body follows close behind."
