Chapter 40

Laughing Mari held her arms up and Kiara picked her up placing her beside her on the couch they were sitting on. Babysitting Mari was one of her most favourite and cutest thing to do.

The little 4 year old girl was full of energy and talked about anything and everything, safe to say she was definitely dicks kid.

Putting her small hand on my belly she looked at it before whispering "hello? Can you hear me?" Feeling a small kick I nodded at her as her smile widened.

"Ok hi baby I'm Mari and you and me and
And.... everyone are gonna play, and eat,
And play more when you here, Ok?" She said pulling back.

Pulling her to my side I saw that she was getting tired, lying her on the couch I got one her books out to read to her

"Up and down the city road
In and out of the eagle
That's the way the money goes
Pop goes the weasel" I began singing the nursery rhyme looking at her tired face

"Half a pound of tuppenny rice
Half a pound of treacle
Mix it up and make it nice..." I felt a sharp pain in my side and then a trickle of water going fine my leg, watching her sleep I groaned slightly

"Pop goes this weasel" I muttered to myself. "Damian!" I yell as Jason comes rushing to me "hey is everything ok?" I groan holding my stomach "they baby... it's coming" I say gritting my teeth "where is everyone?" I ask.

He looks away slightly scared "on a mission?"
He says sheepishly. Another pain shoots through my stomach "what do I do? What do I do?" He moves around "damn it Todd get me to a hospital!" I say walking up the stairs to quickly change.

Grabbing Mari and my bag at the front door he helps me into the car. "Get Damian on the phone" he passes me his phone and scrolling through his contacts I look at his name demonspawn😡👿

I look at him "seriously?" He shrugs "now is not the time!" He says stepping on the gas.

Hearing the phone answer "Todd now is not the time to call!" I growl out "hey it's your pregnant wife! And she's going into labor and the only support she has right now is Jason who can barely take care of himself..." turning to him she quickly says "no offense" he waves her off "none taken"

"And if you don't get your ass here... boy you are seriously gonna get it!" She hears mutters on the line "where are you?"

"We're in the parking lot of Gotham city memorial hospital we're going in now" I say keeping him on the phone as I waddle while Jason holds everything.

"Hey! My sisters in labor!" He shouts out as someone brings over a wheelchair. "I swear you better get here before I give birth" I groan out again.

"Where's mari?" Dicks voice comes through the line "jays got her" I look at the still sleeping girl.

"We're gonna be there soon" Tim says in the background. "What was your mission for?" I ask "do you really care?" Dick asks "no I'm trying to distract myself so shut up and tell me about the stupid mission" I growl out.

"I got pudding!" Jason says proudly as he sets it in front of me "chocolate?" And he nods quickly setting himself besides Mari who was still asleep.

"see this is why jay is my favorite brother in law" I say into the phone hearing Tim and dick groan.

"Chocolate is the key to every girls heart" he whisper yells to not wake his niece. The nurse then walks in "we're going to give you some pain meds so it makes you a little more comfortable.

"Are you sure that's the right one?" Jason asks curiously from his seat. "Yes it is" she replies finishing up and walking away winking at him.

"Did that nurse just...?" He looks at her "go on jay go get yourself a nurse, I'll be over here.... you know in labor"

"I see pregnancy has had no affect on your sarcasm" he says looking at me before quickly saying "I'll get more pudding" seeing the glare sent his way.

"Kiara are you still there?" Damian asked "yeh I'm here" she panted "what's going on? What's happening?" He asked scared

"Nothing much, jays trying to talk up a nurse and I think it's actually working considering their facial expressions... oh he's coming back" kiara quickly acted like she wasn't just watching him.

"Get her number?" She asked smirking when he pulled up a piece of paper "and a date" he added.

"I'm glad me going to labor got you a girl, your welcome" She added as a doctor came in "miss i'd like to inform you that your husband here was being rather affectionate with the nurse over there" he said pointing at Jason with disgust.

"Oh, no no no no!" Kiara laughed so hard after hearing that "what?" Jay asked confused. "You think.... me and jay....?" She held her stomach as she started crying out of laughter. Jason soon realized and joined in on the laughter.

Calming down to some extent she breathed out "oh that was good..." she panted "Kia? What's going on?" Damian asked through the phone.

"The doctor thought jay was the father of my child and he was getting down and dirty with a nurse behind my back" she said as jay was wheezing in a corner.

Turning to a confused doctor she explained "this is my husband on the phone he'll be here soon and that doofus right there is my brother in law" pointing to said guy who was rolling on the floor wheezing.

Laughter was heard on the other end of the line  "ah!" Suddenly all the playfulness was gone and the contractions begun getting more painful.

"I think it's time" the doctor said. "Get your ass here" she growled into the phone as Damian quickly said "almost there"

Kiara was ready to push this baby out "Jason he's not here I want you to stay here until he comes please?" She begged as jay took a hold of her hand "of course" he nodded and that's when her super strength kicked in and Jason screamed in pain.

"You need to push now" the nurse encouraged screaming she squeezed harder onto Jason's hand sufficiently cutting the circulation off.

Just as the baby was about to be delivered Damian bursts through the door "I'm here! I'm here!" He pants rushing over to his wife who gave one last push before a soft cry was heard and everyone turned to look at the small baby being wrapped in a towel.

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Wayne its a healthy baby girl" the doctor congratulated. Passing the baby to Damian who looked in awe at the small life in his hands.

"She's beautiful, you did amazing" he pressed a kiss to his wife's forehead as she nodded "your lucky you got here in time, I would've killed you..." she says before falling asleep out of exhaustion.

Jason on the other hand was getting his hand checked out and was getting a wrist/hand brace put on because of the damage caused.

Damian holds the baby out to Jason as he hesitantly Picks her up a small smile on his lips. Poking his head through the door dick looked towards his brothers "can I see the baby?" He asks as he walks in with Bruce and Jon beside him.

Kiara suddenly wakes up "can I hold her?" She asks as Jason quickly puts her in her arms. "She's got such pretty eyes" she whispers placing a soft kiss on her daughters forehead.

She hand her baby over to her twin, Jon looks at the baby as she grabs a hold of his finger her whole hand wrapping around his index finger.

"Where's Mari?" Dick questions as Jason points to a couch in the corner of the room "she slept through the whole thing" he shrugged as Kiara added "good thing she did, or else she would've learnt some very colorful words"

Dick looks towards the new parents "what are you guys gonna name her?" Looking at each other Damian nodded as Kiara answered "Elizabeth Thalia Jaycieen Wayne" Jason's head shoots up.

"Don't look at me like that, you put up with my bitchiness for 6 hours of course I'm gonna name my kid after you and sorry for kinda breaking your hand" she says sheepishly.

Jason then does the unexpected he hugged her and even had a few tears in his eyes but he didn't let them fall "I'm definitely gonna be her favorite uncle!" He claimed starting a whole war with the rest of the bats while Bruce held his granddaughter secretly whispering to her
"I'm gonna make you a robin"
