My phone rings again

"I'm outside but I can't see your car" I say

"I want to make sure you are not bugged, I don't want you to get the evidence anymore because I know Ramadi" Molly

"No it's too late, I set the camera just now" I answer

"You don't waste time huh but it's okay just tell him the truth..." she says

"Tell who the truth?" is she seriously asking me to tell K the truth?

"Ramadi, he will understand and help you out" Molly

Maybe she's confused about who I'm talking about.

"We are not talking about the same person because K Ramadi is a mean embecile that hates my guts" I say
Molly laughs

"He is a friend of someone I know, he's serious but a good guy and I can't let Thabang do this" Molly

When did it become about her?

"What if he doesn't believe me?" I ask

"I will intervene don't worry about it" Molly

I am worried about it, this is not even my business but I am now the middle man. All these people are using me for their own personal reasons. I need to think fast before I fall deep into this trap. I also need to get back to work since I'm still employed.

Now how am I going to get that camera out of K's office? I can't tell him the truth. This is such a tricky situation but let me put it aside and work.

"We have to go for lunch" Tebogo

"What?" I have been overworking myself since morning

"Pardon, that's what you are supposed to say" Tebogo

I try to smile but this is awkward, Tebogo is okay to work with but I don't want to be threatened again.

"Let's go for lunch" Tebogo again

"I'm okay here besides I have to work" I lie

"I'm the boss so let's go, my treat" Tebogo

I'm not sure if this is a good idea but I'm hungry so I will go to lunch with him. We have been walking for like ten minutes now and I'm regretting why I agreed to this.

"You do eat far don't you?" I say
He is smiling at me.

"We are almost there don't worry, I just wanted you to stretch a little since you are always at work" Tebogo

"Is that a nice way to say I'm unfit?" I ask
He is laughing at me and not answering my question.

"It's a yes then" I say

He pulls me back to him, I'm now looking in his brown eyes. Nothing but his brown eyes...

"You stare don't you?" that's rhetorical Tebogo

I clear my throat and look down.

"We are here" he points at a shop in front of us

Is this a joke?

"You eat here?" I ask as we enter

"Yes why?" him

"This is more of my thing not yours, you are more established than me" I say

"You don't measure someone's worth by what they eat, or where. They make a mean mogodu here" He says now smiling at the woman by the counter

"Ke kopa 2 plates tsa mogodu" Tebogo

I'm fascinated by this but I am going to be full after.

We are on our way back to the office, I really enjoyed this lunch more than everything I have ever had since I got here. It made me forget about the drama I have waiting for me back at the office.

"I want to ask something" I say

"Okay, ask" Tebogo

"Are you close to Thabang or Khodani?" I ask

"Neither, why?" he is not facing me so I can't read his expression

"So this other lady is always saying that you treat me differently, that you are the second rude person at Logica, however, you talk to me" I explain

"What does that have to do with her?" Tebogo rudely

"Exactly like why is she always in my business" I say

He is quiet now.

"Always?" Tebogo

"Huh" I am confused

"Pardon" He corrects me

I am now laughing, he better keep that up because I do such things intentionally.

"You said she's always in your business" Tebogo

"She is just nosy" I don't want to be snitching on anyone

"You asked if I'm close to Thabang or Ramadi, why?" Tebogo

"I feel like I have to be picking sides between them. I also don't know if I should be telling you this" I say

He stops and looks at me with an assuring look. I still don't trust him but I have less than one day left at Logica so I have nothing to lose. I will just give in and tell him.

I told Tebogo everything and he told me to follow him to his office, he didn't say anything about it but suggested that I should follow him to his office.

The same nosy lady stared at me from the door busy giving me a weird smile however Dikeledi is still clueless and winked at me as I passed the reception.

We both walk to his office which is far from both K and Tebogo's but on the same floor. He walks to his desk and lie flat on the floor, he gets up after sometime with two bugs in his hands.

"Check the files" I say

I also walk to his stand scanning the files and just as I thought they have the same file in his office. I take it and give it to him, he hasn't said anything. He takes it in his hands and walk back to his chair and settle down.

"Take it to the reception and tell her I will pick it up after work, you can come here after" Tebogo

I take the file from him and walk to the reception, I am using the stairs this time.

"So you finally take liking to someone" Dikeledi

"Take this file it's Tebogo's, he will take it after work" I say trying to avoid her drama

"You have good taste girl, I can say I underestimated you" she says

"He is my boss Dikeledi" I say and then leave

I wonder why Tebogo is not saying anything, I wish I knew what he was thinking about right now. I am back at his office and he is still sitting where I left him.

"I did as instructed" I say

"Right, don't take the video from Ramadi's office today" Tebogo
