I have been typing this report since morning, I didn't even go to lunch. It's the second one, I still have the third one to type, this is a nightmare. I hardly ever touched any of my weekly tasks today, that means I have to stay behind to get this report done by the end of the day.
My mom is calling me, I need to ignore her for now. I need to be at my full attention or else I will make mistakes. Now Una is calling, I think I should find out what's going on first.

"Una, how are you doing today?" I answer

"Tshinondiwa, we are at the hospital. I just called you using mom's phone, she is being admitted..." Una panicking

"Calm down Una, what happened?" okay I need to remain calm

"Her blood pressure is higher than normal, now they have to admit her. She's been sweating and having difficulty in breathing, apparently it got worse so Thendo had to call an ambulance. I'm scared Tshinondiwa" Una still uneasy

I'm scared too Una, I just don't know how to show it now in front of everyone.
"I will try and be there by tomorrow, please try to be brave for me. I know I'm asking too much of you..." she cuts me out

"No don't come back, she'll be fine and she wouldn't want you to lose your job" Una

"What's bothering her Una?" I ask
She's quiet

"Your case bothers her too much, she always says Thabelo was no good alive now it's even worse when he's dead. You are so unhappy Tshinondiwa and everyone can see that, yes you have a good job now but you have Thabelo's memories tormenting you every day. You need to let go and be happy maybe then mother will see that you are happy and have peace of mind" Una explains

"Thanks for telling me the truth" I'm being emotional now

"I'm going to check if we can see her now, I will call you soon as I get an update from the doctor. Take care" Una hangs up

I can't concentrate on these reports but if I don't K will fire me. He never misses any opportunity to make my life miserable, it's like he does it on purpose.
No Tshinondiwa focus, don't let him get to you, I have survived worse and he will definitely not get his way with me. My mom depends on me, I cannot let her down. I will finish this even if I don't fall asleep.

"Nondi, what are you still doing?" the nosy lady

I feel bad for referring to her as nosy, she's not like that anymore with me.

"I still have a lot to do before I go" I answer

She scans my desk, it's pretty messy.
"Won't you finish it tomorrow?" her again

"I have to finish it by the end of today unfortunately" I say

I can't tell her K will definitely fire me.

"Let me help you out" she offers

I'm tempted to say yes but I'll feel horrible after, I have been nothing but nice to her the past few days.
"You don't have to, I'll be done in no time" I lie
She smiles still not convinced.

"You know what's funny?" I ask

"Tell me" She's trying to smile

"I don't know your name, I feel bad that's why I won't allow you to help me today" she's laughing finally
