[Sera's POV]
Together, Jimin and I moved away from the trees and onto the cobblestone patio where everyone was dancing and laughing. They had smiles on their faces, enjoying the party.
I was determined to enjoy the night, because what comes after this bliss... I probably will never be as relaxed again.
Well, it's not like I was relaxed now. My feet hurt, my back hurt, my cheeks hurt. Everything hurt.
"I'm going to take a break," I said then excused myself from Jimin's side. He just nodded and went to go chat up some more girls. I pretended not to notice or care.
Making a beeline for the section of round tables, I searched for any familiar faces.
There was one.
"Hey, Namjoon was it?" I lightly questioned as I remember the man I've seen so often. He was the Chief of Security. Upon seeing me, he immediately stood and sank into a bow.
"Y-yes, your highness." I dipped my head too and smiled.
"May I sit with you?"
"Yes, of course," he said, hurriedly standing to pull out a chair for me. I thanked him and took a seat.
"Gosh, I'm exhausted," I commented, stretching my arms a little. "Is that good?" I nodded to the drink in his hand.
"It's hard whiskey, if you're into that," he replied. It sounded tempting, but I thought better of it.
I for sure didn't want to get butt drink on my wedding day.
"Maybe on a Friday night," I said and settled for a glass of lemonade instead.
I almost laughed.
Who would've thought I'd be drinking lemonade on my wedding day?
Namjoon and I talked for a little more until I heard a voice behind me.
My heart stopped.
"Well what is the bride doing talking with the Chief of Security on her wedding day?" he said, then seeing Namjoon, he smiled, "No offense."
But Namjoon just grinned, raising his glass and saying, "None taken."
I turned around and basically jumped on him, squeezing him in a tight hug.
"Whoa there. Easy now," he said, holding me back.
"You made it!"
"Of course I would. I wouldn't miss your big day for the world. Plus, how could I not be here to welcome you into the family?" he said with a big grin.
"Taehyung. You're here," a hard voice said from behind.
"Of course. How could I miss my own cousin's wedding?" Taehyung answered. Both Jimin and Taehyung engaged in a stiff handshake and immediately let go. The two men then just stared at each other, which slowly turned into some stare down. Jimin opened his mouth-
"Ladies and gentlemen! I am so sorry to interrupt your lovely evening, but I will only be in your hair for a moment."
The three of us glanced at the stage to see the one and only, Jung Hoseok, speaking into a mic. A huge smile spread across my face as I waved at him and his wife, Dami. Catching sight of me, he smiled wider.
Even Jimin smiled genuinely when he saw his close friend.
His eyes disappeared when he did.
Huh, he should smile like that more often.
"I just wanted to say congratulations to the new couple. Our precious prince and princess grew up together, but we never would have guessed we'd be celebrating such a feat. They always bickered and picked on each other, especially our rowdy little Sera," he said, sending me a wink. "Again, congratulations to Jimin and Sera! Now please, let's give a big round of applause as we send the happy couple off to enjoy their honeymoon. Everyone, please enjoy the night!"
Everyone clapped and cheered as Hoseok waved and stepped off the stage.
But Jimin and I had both froze.
His face looked like he just ate something sour, like he had downed an entire glass of lemonade as we both simultaneously exclaimed,
"What honeymoon?"
