[Sera's POV]

"JIMIN?!"

I immediately jumped to my feet.

"Hey baby," he whispered with a faint smile on his face, "What happened?"

"Wha- what happened?! Jimin, you were dead!" I exclaimed in disbelief.

"What?" Jimin said in confusion.

"Yes! You were dead! Your heart stopped, your body was stone cold, you were laying in a mortuary for hours! How is this possible?!"

"Sera..." I looked up to see Jimin staring at me in awe, his finger raised and pointed at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Look at yourself," he answered.

Raising my arms, an abrupt gasp flew from my lips as I inspected them. They were glowing. Both of my arms were glowing a bright white angelic colour. In fact, my whole body was coated in the bright light.

"Oh my gosh, wh-what is happening to me?!" I exclaimed in a panic.

Quickly, Jimin stood up (still naked) from the table and rushed over to hold my arms.

"Does it hurt anywhere?" I shook my head. He was silent as he continued to stare at my arms.

That's when I realized, he wasn't clothed.

"U-um Jimin, your blanket," I mumbled.

Jimin looked down in confusion then burst out laughing.

"What? You don't like what you see?" he teased, making my cheeks go red.

He just laughed and picked up the blanket, wrapping it around himself.

Seeing his smile brought one to my own lips.

"That's better," he said.

"What's better?" I replied.

"You're smiling. The world is a brighter place when you smile."

And then everything faded away. The fact that Jimin was dead, the fact that my body was going crazy.

It was just him and I.

That's all that mattered.

I ran up to him and threw my arms around his shoulders, tears of joy running down my face.

I had never been this happy in my life.

"I really thought I had lost you forever," I managed to choke out as I squeezed him tightly.

"I know, it must have been really scary for you, but I'm here now. You'll never lose me again, okay?" he whispered back.

"Okay," I breathed.

The room went silent.

"Is... Taehyung okay?" Jimin gingerly asked.

Shit.

Seeing my lack of an answer, Jimin's eyes quickly saddened.

"Where is he?"

Without a word, I stepped away from his sight and revealed the table behind me.

Silently, Jimin made his way over to Taehyung.

"Can you bring him back too?" he whispered, taking a hold of Taehyung's hand.

"Wh-what do you mean? He's dead, I can't-"

"Sera," Jimin stopped me, "You are a descendant of Jumyeong."

I just stared at him blankly.

"Who?"

"You know how I'm a descendant of Lia, right?" he asked.

"Yeah," I answered, not really sure where he was going with this.

"Well then you know what sort of... special abilities I have then, right?"

"Right," I answered.

"Okay, well, Life also gave her gift to a woman, and with this gift, instead of bringing death upon the living, she could bring anything to life. The woman's name was Jumyeong," Jimin explained.

Slowly, all the pieces started to fit together.

It all made sense now... well, as much sense as this madness will ever make.

"So... I have like superpowers?" was the only thing I could find to say.

A slight chuckle came from Jimin. "Yeah, you could call it that."

"But... it's not like I know how I brought you back to life. It just sort of... happened. I didn't try to control it or consciously try-"

"Sera," he started, "do you remember that time I lost my temper at that conference and wilted those flowers?"

"Yes."

"I think it's connected to emotion. Whether you consciously tried to or not, you wanted me to come back so bad, it just sort of happened. Maybe if you tried with Taehyung..." he trailed off, letting me finish the thought.

Sucking in a deep breath, I wrung out my wrists and approached Taehyung. "Here goes nothing," I whispered.

I then placed my hand onto Taehyung's just as I had done with Jimin. I then repeated the same things I had said to Jimin before.

Nothing happened.

Getting anxious, I got on my knees and tried again, allowing the emotions I had felt to overwhelm me once again.

Nothing.

"Why... why isn't it working?" I stuttered.

"I'm... not sure," was all Jimin supplied.

Then the thought came into my mind.

What if I didn't love Taehyung? What if it only worked with the person you loved the most in the world? What if it was only a one-time thing?

"Jimin," I started.

"Mmh?"

"Does that mean I don't love Taehyung?" I muttered, tears brimming in my eyes.

I felt horrible.

After everything this man had done for me, I couldn't return the favour, ever.

Not even once.

"No baby," Jimin quickly answered while pulling me into a hug. "I was wrong. I don't know how this works. I'm just glad it worked for us. I'm just- I'm just sad to see a brother go."

"I'm sorry I couldn't do better," I whispered.

"Sh sh, you've already done more than enough," Jimin said. We stayed like that for a moment, with me in his arms, mourning for our dear friend. "Can I... talk to him alone?" Jimin later asked.

"Of course," I said, "I'll be waiting right outside."
