[Taehyung]s POV]

The all too familiar burning sensation tickled my tongue as the liquid poured down my throat. Today was no different than yesterday. The same seat, the same view, the same drink.

Bars never really change.

Only the people do.

But there was no one I could even bother casting a seed of attention on.

It wasn't because the women were unattractive, or the drinks not strong enough or the men not sober enough.

None of them were her.

And was this what I meant when I told her that I would let go?

Nope.

But I couldn't help it. I was never fond of alcohol, so who could predict that I'd cope by trying to drink her memory away?

"Taehyung?" For the first time I entered here, something caught my attention. Turning around, I faced the tired man and stocky boy following close behind him.

"Namjoon? Jungkook? What the heck are you guys doing here?" I asked. Jungkook should still be in recovery and Namjoon, well, he was the Chief of Security. When was he not busy?

"I think we should be asking you that question. You never drink," Namjoon shot back as they both took the seats on either side of me.

"Yeah well, it's not everyday you get your heart broken," I mumbled, taking another sip of the burning liquid. "But still, shouldn't you be at the castle digging up shit on whoever is behind all this?" I said pointedly to Namjoon who was ordering a liquor. "And you," I turned to Jungkook who only asked for a glass of water, "Shouldn't you be in the hospital?"

"He's supossed to be, but he wanted to get some fresh air and basically begged to come with me," Namjoon answered.

"And to get fresh air, you came to a bar?"

"Well, we were actually on our way to dinner and saw you here so." He stopped and thanked the bartender when he handed him his drink.

"Since when did you have so much free time?" I asked, scrunching up my nose as I watched Namjoon take a swig from the glass.

"I don't, but I have enough for one evening. We finally have a suspect and some evidence, but it's not exactly a smoking gun. We need more. Hard evidence," Namjoon explained.

I raised my brow. "Wait, you have a suspect now?"

"Yup. Apparently Sera's been receiving some disturbing texts and suggestive evidence from her old man that links him to the recent attacks."

"Sera's father is behind this!?" I exclaimed. Why hadn't anyone told me this?!

"Apparently, but we don't have enough to break him. We need to catch him in the act or have evidence of his intent. It'll be hard to do that, especially since all the royals are busy trying to hold down a revolution. We don't have anyone who can get close to him," Namjoon expressed frustratedly.

"Yeah..."

Suddenly, the neglected TV that normally sat in the corner flashing boring movie clips changed.

It was live from the royal palace.

It was like the Earth stopped spinning.

Sera was standing, boldly delivering her message with a confident smile on her face.

She looked fierce, and ready.

She barely even batted an eye when the reporters started denouncing her with tricky questions.
