I walked quietly in the house, not making a sound. I checked every inch of the house. He wasn’t home.  I was sneaking into the kitchen I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turn my head “Boo!” I screamed Bloody Mary and run upstairs like a chicken with its heads cut off. I heard him laughing at me, from all the way upstairs. “Oh ya Milly who is your little friend?”

“Go get ready for your date Casanova! Uhhh he is a friend from school, so no worries.” I screamed from my room while trying to find the perfect outfit for tonight. My brother was a real jerk, especially when he really liked someone. He must have really loved Alyssa, he had become an absolute jackass, and I was sick and tired of his pranks. I was happy for him, but I wish he didn’t have to take his jokes out on me.

It was edging 6:30 and I was getting more and more willing to call off the date. George and Alyssa already left and I still couldn’t find anything to wear. I was running around getting ready in my towel and bunny slippers.

I was driving myself insane, he wasn’t Billy and he didn’t seem to care that I was sweaty and looked like I ran a marathon. He smiled. “I got it!” I jumped over my bed to the closet and there it was. I picked out my favorite yellow sundress and white Vans. The doorbell rang and I rushed downstairs and opened the door.

His eyes went wide when he saw her. Milly’s hair was a fiery red against the yellow dress, her eyes were deep shiny emeralds. Johnny’s smile lit up the whole room. He had a nice yellow sweater on with a black button up shirt. He had his classic yellow Nike’s always matching. She smiled the sweetest smile, her dark pomegranate lips were covered in strawberry lip gloss. He held out his arm and the young prince finally had his princess.

“Uhhh you look nice. Sorry I don’t have my car tonight.” He was just making sentences as we walked with moon lighting our way. It was weird, I mean walking with someone other than Billy. It was nice, just to not have to constantly be worrying what if he found out my life.

“Oh don’t worry about it, and thank you. Its too nice of a night to be in a car. You look great too.” I smiled, wow I couldn’t even think of anything to say to him. I smiled as the warm air swirled around us. I smiled just to smile. That feeling in my heart, I could feel it coming fast, I had to learn to control it or I’d lose myself with him.

“Thanks.” Silence. We finally stopped after we got to the city. “Okay, so I want it to be a surprise, so I’m gonna have to blind fold you.” He pulled out this random blind fold. “You trust me right?” I nodded my head, my eyes still on the blind fold, my heart racing when he put it over my eyes. Now who in their right mind walks around with a random blind fold?

He grabbed my hand and led me on, “You know if you wanted to hold my hand you could have just done so.” I felt his blood boiling. I imagined his classic smile, his brown eyes wide with amazement and his arms wrapped around me. I wanted to kiss him, never in my life have I wanted to kiss someone so badly.

“Well-uhhh we’re here.” He was silent the whole walk after I made the comment, but his blood never stopped boiling.  I wondered if he wanted to kiss me, to hold me in his arms, to even really be with me when times got rough. I blinked my eyes open, there it was.

“PUT-PUT WORLD”

“I love it!” I grabbed his hand and we ran inside.

He looked shocked and pleased that I wanted to be here. “Two please. Thank you”

“This is so exciting.” I was so happy, I never got to go here. Billy never took me. He never did anything for me. He just said he was indebted to me, that wasn’t what it was supposed to be like.
