Johnny Tell Me What You Think

  “Ya, I know bro. She is my everything, my whole entire world, man I love her.” He put his hands behind his head and plopped down on the bed. His mind was back on her kiss, how her eyes had sparkled when she said that he was her whole world. “Bro, she said I was her whole world. She told me that she loves me.” He touched his lips and smiled.

            Johnny’s brother, Todd, tossed up his son, Mathew, and smiled, “I think you should tell her how you feel. Or she’ll lose interest in you.” Johnny glared at his brother laughing. “Nahh, but man seriously, go for it. She really is good for you.”

            “Dude seriously, do you think she could be the one? I mean when I’m with her my whole heart lights up and I can’t think of anything to say.” He stopped, touching his lips wanting in his heart for it to be the right thing. His brother just walked out with his four year old son in his arms, Johnny stared at the ceiling twiddling the ring in his hand.

  “Honey, may I enter please?” Johnny’s bubbly mother, opened the door with a tray of cookies and water. He sat up and scooted over for her to sit by him.

 “Mom that smile isn’t necessary. So what do you want to know?” he chuckled as his mom’s smile widened. “I know you better than that. So spill already.”

 “Milly Rodriguez, you love this girl? I can tell when you look, you talk, or just even think about her. She is your whole world? Well why wouldn’t she be, she is absolutely gorgeous and she treats you and us right. She’s smart and funny and always willing to try her best, just for you.” She grabbed his hands in her old delicate ones, she kissed him on the cheek and smiled so sweetly.

            “Mom, I do. I absolutely love her, and I want her to be in my life. Don’t worry about me, I know its just you being a mom, but honestly I’d give up everything to see her pomegranate lips spread into that gorgeous smile.” He turned a healthy shade of red, his mind went racing off to that perfect moment, that perfect kiss. His body began to heat up, his mom was his best friend, he could always go to her for advice.

“Okay honey. I know you know what you’re doing. I love you, we all love you. See you in the morning, and you should probably tell her how you feel.” She kissed him one more time on the forehead and winked. He plopped back onto his bed, ‘damn, my whole family. She is my world now.’

 I LOVE YOU—Milly YOU ARE MY WORLD!!!

           “Hey! So I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind meeting me at the park?” Johnny’s voice was so deep and alluring on the phone, it was always even harder talking to him face to face. I was called unexpectedly while trying to learn how to make 5 Cheesed Stuffed Pasta, but for him I would drop the world.

“Yes, of course. I’ll be there in five minutes.” I ran to put my purple and grey Nike’s on with my matching purple and grey jacket.

“By George, see you later.” He waved from the family room with Alyssa kicking it on the counter, reading the paper, helping me. One day, they’ll be married and I’ll get to be an auntie.

I waited at the park for him, all of a sudden I was whisked around in a circle. “Hey love.” His voice was so deep and velvety, just like his eyes. I turned around and looked up into them, a huge smile spread across his face.

I was about to answer him, but he put his hand over my mouth. “Milly I have to tell you something, and I have to tell you now. If you don’t mind. I want to tell you first off that I love you with my whole entire heart I wish that I could have told you sooner.” I must have looked shocked because he kissed me so tenderly. “You are my whole entire world. I have waited forever to tell you that.” He leaned in for another kiss, but this one he was really in it, his hands wrapped in my hair, so close I could feel the electricity. I wanted it.

He took a breath and stood back. I took his hands in mine and pulled them to my chest, “Do you feel that, that is what you do to my heart, you’re the only guy who can make my heart beat both fast and slow at the same time. When I’m around you I never know what to say or how to say it. I wanted to tell you what had been on my heart for a while now, but I didn’t want you or your family to think lowly of me. Okay, I don’t know what I’m trying to say, I just want to tell you that I love you too.” 

  “Hahaha, Milly, you have honestly made me that happiest person in the whole entire world. Trust me my family adores you, and my little brother is quite fancied by you,” He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me in for a long passionate kiss. I could have sworn fireworks were going off in the background, I swear this was the most romantic moment of my life. “You are the most beautiful girl in the whole world.”

  “Errr, hun I’m in sweats and a tank top, nothing special.” He grabbed my chin and made me look directly into his deep espresso eyes. 

“Milly you can wear anything and I wouldn’t care, you have always been the most beautiful thing in my eyes. Every time I look into your eyes and see all that pain I wanna be that guy to make it all go away. Point is that I want to see that smile on your face everyday, I love you for you.”           

He was the one, forget Miley Cyrus “He Could Be The One”, he was the one. The only one for me. My heart literally was doing back flips, he didn’t care how I looked. I can be who I am around him, why did I ever go out with Billy?

He walked me home, our fingers linked, I never wanted to let him go. “Are you..I mean did you and Billy ever?” I felt him blush, his whole body was warm, there was no need to even look up.

 Uhh if you mean what I’m thinking then no. I told him if I were to do it anytime during high school it would be after graduation.” He stopped dead in his tracks and turned me around.

“So you mean, all those things they said about you, so I wouldn’t try to be with you. They lied to me. Milly you really are the most amazing girl I have ever met.” Johnny’s eyes lit up and his smile warmed my whole body, something about that boy made me melt.

 I cocked my head to the side, “People actually talked about me? Hmmm, oh well they don’t know anything about me so why even trip?” I started walking again, he only had to step twice to catch up. 

“Milly, would you ever consider I mean like if it were graduation, would you with me or am I asking to much or you know what I’ll shut up now.” Silence, it was so cute to watch this big beefy guy get tongue tied over me.

I looked up and he smiled at my sun baked face, I nodded my head and whispered, “You’re the only one I’d give myself to.” He stopped again, I kept walking this time.

More silence, he walked steadily behind me, the sun baking in the warm spring air. Man how I wished for the rain, something to make the silence pass by. And there it was, Fernando Fuentes, he had a thing against Johnny and of all times for him to be walking by.
