We were up against a wall, I was shaking as he leaned in and pushed back a strand of loose hair that had fallen. I wasn’t going to give in, not to some totally amazing hot, sexy beast of a boyfriend. “Milly, I could never do that to you. I would never force you to do anything you didn’t want to do, especially that.” After punching a wall, he walked over to Fernando and picked up the bowl of soap and warm water and began to wash off the blood and dirt from his face.
I watched him get down in front of the guy he despised the most and help him. The pain went away, but a new one crept into my heart. Had it been the fact that he didn’t want to do it with me, why did I care. I walked over and sat next to him, “Fernando, hun, I’m going to ask you some questions. I need you to answer them for me. Okay?” he grabbed onto my hand and held it tight.
“I’m so sorry. I wish I knew how to tell a girl how I felt and not treat her like I treated you. I want to be as lucky as Johnny. I wish I could tell her that I loved her.” He sat up, leaning on the arm of the couch. I smiled at him, trying to understand what he meant. “Milly, I have always loved you, but looks like I’m too late. Haha its funny how that always works, the hot buff guy gets the girl and the dork is left in the background.”
I was honestly starting to see where he was going with it, but I couldn’t just drop Johnny for Fernando, but I had an idea. Well I hope it sounded as amazing spoken as it did in my mind.
“Okay, well I must say that that is truly the sweetest thing you have ever said to me. How about you and I go out on one date, and then I will help you find that special girl?” his eyes lit up as Johnny’s fists began to clench.
“Milly, you really mean that? Like honestly, you truly are the fairest maiden in the land and one queen that truly couldn’t be matched. I would love that more than anything.” He smiled, he had the most amazing smile ever. I mean you know if he wasn’t such a creeper.
“Fine, but no touching, kissing, or anything funny. You got it buddy?” Johnny was so cute when he was protecting me. I patted his head and brought the first aid kit back to the kitchen. “I mean it, or I’ll find you and it will be twice as bad next time.” I heard him marching into the kitchen, breathing like he’d run a marathon. “Babe, really a date with that guy?”
“Five year old, really babe come on, you’re older than that. I love you, so don’t trip.” He wrapped his arm around my waist and drew me in, a kiss on the forehead and then he leaned against the counter. “Oh your hands, hold on I have got to bandage you up.” After about three minutes of listening to ‘Ouch,’ ‘Ohh,’ ‘Why me?’, his hands were wrapped and all damage was amended.
