Chapter 21

Sakura's pov
Me and Itachi are now standing in front of the large and beautiful gates off Konoha . I looked over at him I see him nod his head signaling to head out. And with that we leave the village in a flash. We jump from tree to tree in a quick pace I suddenly sense a familiar presence I stop in my tracks Itachi looks at me and he asks in his serious tone " What is it? " I turn my head towards him and I say in my serious tone " I sense a familiar presence." He tilts his head to the side staring right at me through his white cat-like mask I suddenly feel the presence get closer I swiftly pull 3 needles out my pouch and I throw them where I sense the presence. Soon after I look at the direction where I throw the needles and I see the tree form in to a white snake. I jump away and I pull 3 more needles out my pouch as now I'm prepared to kill the enemy. I look at Itachi and I could tell he had activated his sharingan. The large white snake now formed in to the shape of a human being. When it fully transformed I see a disgustingly familiar face Orochimaru. He smirks at the sight off our familiar masks and he says warmly yet uncomfortably towards us " Well well aren't those some familiar masks. " I grit my teeth out off frustration I tighten my grip on the needles in my right hand feeling the ends off the needles lightly pressing in to the palm of my hand. I look to my left seeing Itachi pulling out 3 sharp kunai knifes I place my gaze back on the enemy in front off us and I say coldly " I hope you're not trying to harm the village. " I almost hiss at him he chuckles " Oh no I'm here to get Sasuke-kun's body. " I look back at Itachi who seems to understand what I want him to do since we don't need to spend time on someone like Orochimaru. I see him nod lightly so I throw my needles and Itachi throws his kunais at Orochimaru. He dodges all the weapons with ease I see him near me quite swiftly with his snake sword. As he swings his sword at me I jump to avoid it but as I was about to land on the ground I could feel something slimy and wet wrap around my body I quickly come to my senses and I see that Orochimaru has wrapped his disgusting long tongue around my body I could feel his grip tighten on my body. I look to the left to see no sight of Itachi I start to worry a bit but my worry faded when I felt the grip completely loosen I jump away from the disgusting snake and I land next to Itachi. I look back at the enemy and I smirk under my mask with satisfaction he was shaking out off pure fear he couldn't move nor talk he could only listen and see with even that he didn't deserve. I pull some rope out off my pouch and I walk over to Orochimaru and I kick him to the nearest tree I walk to the tree his back has landed on he gave his death glare trying to paralyze me with it just like he did at the Chuunin Exams but this time he had failed. I start to tie him to the tree tightly. I finish tying him to the tree and I walk back to Itachi and we continue our path to the village hidden in the flowers. After long hours off running and jumping from tree to tree I see that the sun was setting since our pace was quite was and stayed the same during the hours off running. We finally stop in our tracks when we see a big cave. We walk inside the cave and dictate that this will be where we will stay. I go back outside and I get some wood so we could be warm in the cave I come back with the wood I set it up in to a campfire. I start to make hand signs to a fire style technique since I didn't want Itachi to drain his chakra. I blow the fire out off my mouth on to the wood causing it to set on fire. I look over at Itachi with his mask still on and I say softly " Itachi you can take the mask off now. " he looked at me and he shook his head as in no I got up and I walked over to him and I sit beside him my hand slowly slowly travels to the edge off his mask and I start to lift it off but Itachi grabs my hand harshly I immediately shot him my death glare and I say  now irritated " Itachi let go of my hand. " he knew that I was serious yet he didn't let go of my hand he tighten his grip. This I practically hiss at him to let go and so he finally does. I look at him and I say trying to calm my nerves " Why won't you let me take the mask off do you not trust me? " he turn his attention to me quickly and he sighed " Take it off then. " and with that my hand yet again traveled to his mask slowly lifting it up. I took it off completely and I now saw why he didn't want to take the mask off. His eyes both covered with blood looking at me. I soften mg gaze at him and I ask softly " Why? Itachi I told you I will help you with your eyesight. " he looked down I lightly grab his chin making him look at me I smile and I say " It's okay just don't do it again. " he simply nodded I smiled and I got up to get some water from the river. I took some water in to my water bottle and I headed back in to the cave. I get back and I walk to Itachi I reach in to my pouch for a small piece off cloth. I sit on his lap and I wet the piece off cloth and I start to wipe the blood away I apologized as I see him wince. I wiped all the blood away and so I told him to lay his head on my lap he looked at me me confused but I reassure him he finally gives in and lays his back on to the cold rock ground off the cave and his head on my lap. I tell him to close his eyes he did as told and I concentrate my chakra in to tha palm off my hands I place the glowing green light on his eyes and I could immediately see him relax.
