Chapter 20

Sakura's pov
I finish eating my food I slowly get up and I grab the dishes and I put them in the sink. I turn the water on and I wet the sponge and I put some dish soap on the sponge and I start to scrub the dirty dishes. I suddenly feel two strong pair of arms wrap around my waist I smile as I feel Itachi bury his head in the crook of my neck. I finish washing the dishes I turn the water off and I feel Itachi tighten his hold on my waist I look at him and I see a tear run down his pale face. I escape his hold and I see him look down with tears in his eyes I get closer to him and I lightly grab his chin and I lift his head up so he would look at me. I see the tears run down his face and I soften my gaze and I ask quietly " Itachi what's wrong? " he looks at me like a puppy that was kicked on to the street I wipe the fresh tear away with my thumb and I ask him " Itachi is everything okay? " he looks away for a minute and then he looks back at me and he says " I never had someone who cares for me from the day what happened to my clan... " I smile sadly and I pull him in to a tight and loving hug I wrap my arms around his torso and he wraps his arms around my waist burying his head in to my hair. I smile and I say " It's okay let it out. " I could feel him lifting me up I wrap my legs around his waist and I tighten the hug. I could hear his quiet sobs escaping his lips I couldn't help but to feel mad at Danzo for making him kill his own clan. I feel Itachi placing me back on to the ground I wipe his now tear stained face with my thumb. I slowly lean in and I kiss his cheek and I pull away I suddenly hear the window open I step away from Itachi and we both look at the Anbu. I raise an eyebrow and I ask coldly towards the Anbu " What do you need you know I'm no longer in the Anbu what is it? " the Anbu's head drops but he then quickly looked back me and Itachi and he says " Sakura-san Hokage-sama needs you and Itachi-san. " I raise an eyebrow and I ask with curiosity in my tone " What does the Hokage need? " the Anbu shrugs and I sigh and I ask " How is it without me in the Anbu? " the Anbu looks up at me and they say slightly sad " We have lost a lot of man... " I sigh and I say coldly " I see tell the Hokage that we will be there in a minute. " the Anbu nodded and left through the window. I step out the kitchen and I put my shoes on shortly after I see Itachi do the same. I open the door and we leave to the Hokage tower. We walk up the stairs and we spot her office door. We are now standing in front of the door and I raise my hand up and I lightly knock I hear her calm yet rushed come in. I push the door open and I step in with Itachi behind me I bow to her and so does Itachi we stand up straight and I ask coldly " You called Hokage-sama? " she nods and she says " Yes Sakura Haruno and Itachi Uchiha I want you to rejoin the Anbu will you accept? " I look at her in shock I haven't been in the Anbu for almost two weeks why does she want me to come back. I then hear Itachi's soothing voice " I accept Hokage-sama. " I heard him say calmly I look at him with the look are you sure? He smiles and he nods I look back at Tsunade I know she wants my answer I sigh before answering her " I accept as well Hokage-sama. " I see her smile and she puts our uniforms and masks on her table and she says " Welcome back to the Anbu Sakura Haruno and Itachi Uchiha. " I nod and me and Itachi walk to her desk and we take our uniforms and masks and I ask calmly " Do we have a mission? " she looks at me and she nods before speaking " Yes get changed and come back to my office. " we nod and we do hand sings and I disappear in my once again beloved Sakura pebbles and Itachi disappears in crows. We both appear in front of my door and I open the door I walk in to the bathroom and I lock myself in. I first tie my hair up and then I change in to my uniform and lastly I place my mask on. I unlock the bathroom door and I walk out to see Itachi already in his uniform waiting for me at the door. We both once again head to the Hokage tower and we finally get to Tsunade's door I knock and I hear her calm come in I once again push the door open and I walk in with Itachi behind me. We both bow to her in respect and we stand back up straight and I ask in my emotionless tone " Hokage-sama what is the mission? " she sighs and she says " The Akatsuki are coming after the fourth tailed jinchuuriki do not allow them to take him. " Itachi nods but I ask coldly " May I ask Hokage-sama why did you choose to send us on this mission. " she sighs at my question before speaking " Because you Sakura and Itachi are one off the strongest member that ever was in the Anbu and you two know the most about the Akatsuki. " I nod and I hear Itachi ask coldly " And where is the jinchuuriki located? " Tsunade looks at him and she says " In the village hidden in the flowers. " I sigh and I say " That is far from here like 3-4 days. " she nods and says " That's why you are heading out now the Akatsuki are coming after him in 5 day so you have to get to him first and get her back to the village safely. " we both nod and Tsunade says " You are dismissed! " we both bow and we walk out her office now heading to the Konoha gates to start our new mission.
