Chapter 37

Sakura's pov
We walk down the stairs and make out way to the our kitchen. I suddenly hear the microwave turn off I see that Itachi cooked something but it didn't make sense to me why would he heat up our food if he prepared the food fresh. I was about pull my chair out so I could sit down but Itachi was a lot faster then me he pulled the chair out for me with a smile. I return my usual smile and I sit down I see Itachi bring the food the dining table " Do you need any help? " I asked wanting to help him he just shook his head as he placed down two bowls and two pairs of chopsticks " No need for that. " he said as he was sitting down. We pick up our chopsticks and we start to eat I noticed that Itachi's face is a bit paler then usual " Hey is everything ok you seem a bit pale. " I ask a bit worried he looked up from his food to me and smiled " I suppose I should tell you now so you don't worry. " he said his smile fading I looked him dead in the eyes he was dead serious now " Tell me what? " I asked with worry in my tone he let a heavy sigh before speaking " Well today lady Hokage called for me the Anbu said it was urgent. " he said in serious to almost dangerous tone I was worried now what if it was about our baby no it could be lady Tsunade would call me in to wouldn't she I was so lost in my one train off thoughts but when I heard the sentence that I need to hear I snapped out off my thoughts " I know what your thinking and no it's not about our baby our baby is ok and healthy don't worry. " he said I let out a sigh of relief and I looked at him " Then why did she call you? " I asked " She called me because she wanted to tell me that the village soon will be under a attack. " I gasped " What?! " he sighed " Sakura calm down I know it's a lot to take in but try to stay calm you know it's no good for our baby right? " he was right I was stressed and that is harmful to the baby I try to calm myself down. As I felt my nerves starting to relax I nodded signaling that he can continue talking " You and I have a mission tomorrow morning the Hokage wants you to catch Tobi and Zetsu. " my eyes widen " But I'm pregnant what if something happens to me or worse out baby!? " I could feel the rage running in my veins I current that Itachi noticed because he got up from his seat and came over to give me a reassuring hug " It's going to be okay I will protect the both off you and besides no one is capable of catching Tobi and Zetsu but us Sakura you are the most skilled  kunoichi I have ever cross paths with. I know you can do this and one more thing I have never seen you get hit by anything I know you are fast when it comes to dodging and deflecting. " he said with confidence I smile as I burry my face in to the crook off his neck. I separate from Itachi " Thank you Itachi I suppose you are right now let's continue to eat. " I say he smiled and sits back in to his seat. We finished eating and I star to wash the dishes as Itachi brings them from the dining to the sink. When I'm done washing the dishes I turn off the water and I turn to Itachi only to see him sitting on the couch reading a book. I smile I start to slowly make my way over to him and I sit in his lap facing him. I looks up from the book up at me and smiles as his free hand travels and wraps around my waist pulling my body closer to his own. I wrap my arms around his neck and I stare deeply into his eyes and the words escape my mouth " I love you Itachi. " I say out off pure love I could see the corners of his lips from in to a warm smile " I love you to Sakura. " I smile as I slowly lean in I feel out lips lock together. At first it was a tender and soft kiss but like always Itachi deepened and roughed the kiss making me let out a small moan. We slowly separate a thin and fine string off saliva still connecting us.
