~Marquis POV
"Marquis no." She said breaking the kiss. It lasted a lot longer then I expected. "We can't do this right now."
"Why not? You gone run and tell your boyfriend DeShaun?" I scoffed making her raise a brow. "I asked Aaliyah about y'all on the way here. That's besides the point. You know you want me." I said. "Marquis you don't see how weird this is? Everybody thought you were dead and you're not. You expect things to just pop back into shape?" She asked. "I mean not necessarily. But if I'm going to be staying here why not make the best of it." I shrugged.
"DeShaun is your friend. I can't do him like that."
"Well you sure didn't have a problem with it when the roles were reversed." I scoffed. "Well that's when I thought you were dead." She mumbled but it was loud enough for me to here. "So you're telling me that you don't have any feelings for me anymore?" I asked. "I-I dont know Marquis. It's not something I've had to think about."
"Well maybe you should think about it."
**Few Days Later**
~Morgan POV
"You ready to go? My pops got us flying in a private plane so it's waiting on us." Kingston said through the phone. "I will be. I'm about take Akira to her dads and I'll be ready." I said. "Ight just let me know when you ready. I'll come pick you up." He said. "I can just drive there." I said. "Yeah you could. But you're not. Let me know when you're home and I'll come get you." He said. "Alright, alright. I'm pulling into Jayceon's place so I'll call you when I'm ready."
"Alright." I hung up the phone getting out the car. I got Akira out her carseat and went around to get her bags out the trunk. "Mama is about to have fun with her new man." I said looking at Akira. "Not yo bitch ass daddy." She just looked at me like she understood me. The door opened before I even knocked. It was Marquis. "I didn't know you was coming over." He said. "Is Jayceon inside?" I asked ignoring what he said. "Yeah."
I walked in seeing Jayceon on the couch. Akira ran over to him with a smile on her face. "Where's Jaybee?" I asked. "Upstairs. Where you bout to go?" He asked. "On a well needed vacation away from all of this." I said. "Yeah well before you go you need to talk to your brother. He done made amends with everybody but you. And honestly I'm sick of this nigga bringing you up everywhere." He scoffed. "Boy hush. You know you like hearing my name."
"Yeah ight. Just talk to him." He said. I kissed Akira goodbye and walked out. I seen Marquis sitting outside smoking. I walked past him but stopped in my tracks. "You want to talk? Talk." I said sitting next to him. "It's not much to say besides I'm sorry. I told you why I was gone but you don't care so what's the point." He shrugged. "Can you blame me for being upset?"
"I mean, I knew you would be mad but its been a week." He said. "Well I guess I'm over it now. Just have to get used to you being around again."
"So we good?" He asked. "We good." I said with a smile. "I love you Mo." He said hugging me. "I love you too MJ. Now if you will excuse me, I have a trip to tend to. See you when I get back." I said getting up and walking back to my car.
~Jayceon POV
"Please tell me she talked to you." I said to Marquis who walked in the house. "Yeah we good." He said. "Well I'm taking the kids to Zoo. You trynna come?" I asked. "Nah I think I'll just stay here and chill." He said. "Kierra should be coming over her in a few minutes. Let her in." I said. I grabbed Akira's hand and walked her up the steps. She was getting so big and she was turning 1 next month. I went in her room looking for an outfit.
