"What do you mean I'm going to get used to him?" Ashanti asked. "He has to stay with me for a while. Apparently Kendall wants to go to college and get her life on track." I said. "Okay. Why do you look so upset?" She asked. "I don't even know if I'm capable of taking care of a child." I sighed. "One thing about you, you take care of people you love no matter what."
"I know but I've never taken care of a kid before."
"How old is he?" She asked. "Seven. Why?"
"That little boy hasn't had a father in his life for the past seven years. If anything, you should know how it feels to grow up that way. This is your chance to make it right and take care of him. I've seen you around Jaybee and Akira and it's like you're a fucking natural. Trust me, you're capable." She said. "Thanks."
~Jayceon POV
Me and Kierra decided to go out to dinner tonight.
"We should really go on a trip somewhere." Kierra said. "A trip?" I asked raising a brow. "Somewhere other then Florida. Let's go somewhere neither one of us has been."
"I done been to a lot of places. Just tell me where you want to go and we can make it happen." I said sipping my drink. "Hmm. How about Pa-" She was cut off by my phone ringing. I didn't want to interrupt our dinner so ignored it. "What was you saying." I said.
"How about we go to Par-" I got a text on my phone. "Hold on." I said grabbing my phone. I looked at it seeing a text from Morgan.
From Mo: Can you come over please. I really need to talk to you.
Delivered : 9:17 p.m.
"I got to go check in on Morgan." I said looking up at Kierra. "Right." She scoffed. "What's the problem?" I asked raising a brow. "For the past two weeks all its been is Morgan this, Morgan that. What about me?" She sighed. "What about you?"
"You know what, never mind. Just go." She sighed. "Nah talk to me. Where is all this coming from?" I asked grabbing her hand. "When we first started dating we were perfect. And all of a sudden Morgan just becomes your top priority and I feel some type of way about that." She shrugged. "No, the safety of Morgan as the mother of my child and the safety of my children is my top priority." I said.
"Jayceon I've told you before that I've been hurt by a lot of men. Even the slightest affection towards another woman just makes me feel like I'm getting done wrong. I don't want to fall for you and you still got feelings for your ex girlfriend." She said.
"Kierra, baby listen to me. I promise you, there is nothing going on between me and Morgan. I'm not going to say I don't love her because I do. But I love her as the mother of my child and someone who is apart of my family. I'm with you and nobody else."
"Okay." She said. "How about this. Go back to your house, relax, chill do whatever. And when I get back we can do anything you want to do." I smiled.
"Anything?"
"Anything."
"Fine. But don't take too long okay?" She said. "I got you. I'll see you later." I gave her a kiss and made my way to Morgan's apartment.
~Landon POV
Today was the day my daughter got released from the hospital. Since Iyanna's death, I spent most of my time at home or at the hospital. I had set up the nursery for her and had everything that she needed. Her health had grown and she was exactly where she needed to be.
"Mr. Williams." The doctor said snapping me out of my thoughts. "She's ready for you." I got up following him back to her room. "God works in many ways Mr. Williams. He definitely worked some wonders for your daughter. She's stronger than some of the babies that arrive on their due dates. There are no signs of any health conditions. All I can say is make sure she's eating well." He smiled. I looked at Miracle through the window which brought a smile to my face.

After taking care of everything at the hospital, we made it back home. She was sleeping in my arms. She had Iyanna's entire face. I can really get used to this.
~Morgan POV
My doorbell rung telling me Jayceon was here. "Finally." I said opening the door. "My bad." He said walking inside. "You look nice. Where you coming from?" I asked. "I was out with Kierra. What you need to talk about?"
"Come in the kitchen with me." He followed me. "A bottle of Vodka. What's the occasion?" He laughed a little. "Why didn't you tell me about Kingston's past?" I said pouring myself another drink. I was on my second cup. "What you mean?" He asked raising a brow. He took the bottle pouring himself some. "He was arrested for so many things. Prostitution, Domestic Violence, Child Endangerment and Aggravated Assault. Was this your way of getting back at me for ending things with you?" I asked.
"Yeah I think you had too much to drink. You really think I'd let you or Akira be around a nigga like that. I told you his ass was married into the family. Me and him aren't that close. I never cared that much about him to ask about his past." He scoffed. "How could I be so stupid." I said putting my face in the palm of my hands. "I'm sorry." I said looking up at him.
"Sorry for what?"
"I put Akira's life in danger. Just because I was lonely and needed a boyfriend." I scoffed. "You didn't know. It's okay." He said pulling me into a hug. "Thank you for always being here for me Jayceon." I said looking at him. "You family Mo. I always got you."
Looking in his eyes I felt something. It felt like the old times. Like we still had a connection. I leaned in kissing him.
I don't know if it was him or the Vodka, but he kissed me back.
