I was drawn to you the same way leaves aimlessly surrender to gravity's will. I was drawn to you like how the flowers bloom in contact with your warmth. I was drawn to you especially on droughts when I would beg for even the littlest drop of water, while you held the dam. But you left me under the sun to catch fire, hoping a storm would settle among the clouds. But the day was clear, and not a cloud was in sight. You left me burning to ashes on the ground.
