MADAME PLATT. SHE knew us, and she knew me. She was my Doctor at Amenity, she had been the one to torture me for all of those years. Seeing her now made me sick to my stomach, furious. August must have noticed my growing anxiety because he pulled me closer to him.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Maria West. You were the weakest one I have ever had the pleasure of tearing apart,"
"Are you working for them?" he asked
"Working for them? You cannot be serious. I own them, just like I own the two of you."
"Where are the rest of the Doctors?" I asked.
"In a safe location, we are taking the proper steps to prepare for this rebellion you speak of,"
"Are you on our side or against us?"
"Foolish boy, there aren't sides for we will always win in the end."
And with that, Madame Platt pulled a small device from the pocket of her blazer and pressed a small red button. The last thing we saw was her grin and light blonde hair twisted in a tight knot. Pain filled my body, beginning at my abdomen and spreading to my legs. I lost August's grasp in the midst of flames filling the hallways and the ceiling caving in.
