New Chapter! Longer then usual... hope this gives you a good idea into how Danny is. I actually really like his character haha :) anyway. next chapter up as soon as I write it. cheers!
A frustrated growl left my lips as my hair continued to fight with me over which way it wanted to part. Giving up I threw it into a sleek high pony tail, my blonde hair curling slightly in the back.
I looked over at the clock, I only had fifteen minutes to get ready before he turned up, and I still hadn't picked out what I was going to wear, something that had taken over my mind last night, causing sleep to be non-existent.
Giving my face a once over I decided to go a simple look with eyeliner and mascara giving my blue eyes a 'doey' look and a bright red lipstick to cover my lips.
Looking at the clock again I noticed I had five minutes. I started to panic and run back from the bathroom across the hall and into my room.
Danny failed to tell me last night where we were going to go, so I didn't know how dressed up I was meant to be. Settling with a pair of cute high waisted jean shorts and a red top I slipped on some white flats just in time to hear the door bell ring.
Grabbing my phone and purse I threw them both into my bag and grabbed a cardigan off the desk before running down the hall to see Dad and Danny in the lounge room, clearly in the middle of conversation.
Dad had one of Danny's hands in his firm grip, his other hand placed on Danny's shoulder, his fingers digging in slightly.
"Dad, this is Danny, Danny, this is my Dad Samuel," I introduced both the men in my lounge room before Dad spoke confidently.
"Mr. Phillips will be fine," Dad nodded to Danny before winking to me, Danny unaware of the small gesture.
"Yes Sir," Danny smiled warmly at my father before looking over at me. "Ready to go?" Danny asked, his gaze locking on my father than back to me.
"Sure am," I nodded once more before going and giving my Dad a kiss on the cheek and heading towards the door.
"I want her back by twelve, you understand?" Dad ordered his tone sharp. Danny nodded; another "Yes Sir" was spoken before we both made our way out the door and towards his car.
I could feel myself getting nervous with each step I took towards his car. Looking behind me at the house I saw a curtain move. A quiet laugh left my lips at my Dad's expense; he could never stop spying on people.
"You look stunning, by the way, perfect for this evening’s adventure," Danny winked at me and I laughed, reaching the car. Before I could open the door however, Danny was already there, opening the car door for me.
"Oh, why thank you kind Sir, how gentlemanly of you," I laughed again, playfully curtsying towards the beautifully attractive man.
He laughed an extremely beautiful laugh and closed the door after I was seated in the car. with the thud of the car door I began to feel my heart beat in my ear like an African Drum on one of those African bonfire nights. The other door opened and Danny slid in, pulling the car out onto the road. It had been awhile since I sat in a car, and the feeling of my heart beating faster made me more anxious, Danny however was fine, sitting at the divers seat, one hand on the wheel while the other dangled outside the window.
"Where are we going?" I cleared my throat, my hand gripping the seatbelt as a safety precaution.
"Can't tell you, I'm full of surprises, as you will find out later," He winked in my direction before putting his eyes back on the road.
"How cliché," I mumbled under my breath, but he heard my comment.
"So what if it's a bit cliché? I like a bit of cliché, and cheesy stuff. exactly how I like my pizza," he sent me a wicked grin, tapping the steering wheel with his fingers to the beat of the music that was ever so quietly filtering out of the car's stereo.
