Dead or Alive

Yash ran down to Natasha. Suhana's legs froze in horror she couldn't move from there.What if she had just killed Natasha??

There were too many people around Natasha, Yash went near her pushing the crowd aside. She was still breathing. Yash took her head on his lap. His white shirt was soon covered in her blood.

After a few minutes, ambulance came. Natasha was being taken to the nearby hospital. Yash held her hand and cried. He couldn't understand what just happened before his own eyes.

Within one hour, Natasha's parents and Sarah reached at the hospital. They questioned Yash, how did it happen?
Yash couldn't tell them the truth as it would make things more complex. Truth be told, he was ashamed to tell them the truth. So he told them, she'd lost her balance and fell on tree and then landed on the ground. Sarah gave a raging look towards Yash.

Doctors told them that Natasha was lucky that she fell on a tree first, otherwise her death was a must. But she had severe fractures on her left leg and left arm. She also had some injuries at the left side of her head. She needed to be operated now.

After a few hour, doctors gave them the news that she had been successfully operated. She needed to get her conciousness soon, otherwise it could be a problem for her.

Yash's father was calling Yash again and again for getting Natasha's news. Nat's parents told Yash to go home but he refused. Then they insisted that he was in a blood coated shirt, and the authority won't allow so many people to stay at night. So, he didn't say anything and came home.

Yash came home and went straight to his room without meeting his father. He stood under the shower. Natasha's blood started to drain out from his shirt. Yash looked at the blood and covered his face with his hands and started crying.

Yash remembered how she gave her hand towards him and called out his name before falling. He also remembered how the doctors said that, she wouldn't have survived if there
wasn't that tree.

Yash held his head, his eyes were red. He had lost his mother, his father faced an accident and now Natasha!!

What if Natasha doesn't get her conciousness? What if the same condition happens with Natasha as his dad's. Yash couldn't think anymore. His head was about to explode.

Natasha had night shift in hospital at that day. As her phone was completely broken, Natasha's mom told Sarah to inform the hospital about Nat's condition.

Sarah did inform them. Abir couldn't believe it, the girl whom he had seen just yesterday was now in ICU. He took Sarah's number from the reception and called her back to know the hospital location. He rushed to the hospital immediately.

Abir talked to Nat's parents and then looked at Natasha from the ICU door. Tears rolled from his eyes. He quickly 
wiped it out. Then Abir met the doctor and discuss Natasha's actual condition.

He returned to Nat's parents and apologised that he had night shift, so he had to go then. But he promised that he would come back as soon as his shift ends. Natasha's parents thanked him.

On the other side, Yash met his dad and cryingly told him everything in guilt. The reality of the situation, including Suhana's pushing Natasha, which caused her fall etc. etc.

His dad lost his mind. He could not believe what Yash just said to him.

"You know Yash, that's your problem. You were too busy with pebbles that you didn't notice the real gem in front of your own eyes. I have seen, how much she loved you. And if something happens to her because of your mad girlfriend, I'll never forgive you."
He left from there.

Yash remained silent. He went to his room and continuously turned on and off his bed side lamp. A call came, he hurrily grabbed his phone to check whether anything was wrong with Natasha. But it was Suhana. Yash looked at his phone screen in disgust and cut her call.
