Inner battles

YASH'S P.O.V

No peace for me both in the office as well as in home. No one is trying to understand my situation. I'm feeling very lonely right now. I don't have a single person to talk to, about how I feel.

Everyone is making their opinions about me, judging me. I know, at some point I am the person to blame. But I can also expect people to understand me, like they expect me to understand them.

Both Natasha and dad have created a barrier between me and them. Natasha has prevented me from going there,  visiting her. I want to go, talk to her.
I want to justify myself but no one is giving me the chance to do that. I didn't even try to call her because if she wants to stay away from me so be it.

Dad also talks to me very little these days. Now a days I see him happy on three occasions either when he is talking to Natasha or to my sister or to the ridiculous bloke, Abir.

Yes, this Abir guy is the new trouble in my life. Everybody around me knows me from the beginning. They know how I am. But this guy is making me look even worse. Even my dad is now a fan of him. He doesn't get tired of praising him in front of me.

Speaking about the devil, I meet Abir in my living room.

And he gives his irritating smile,
"Hey Yash!"

"Hey. So your session is over?"

"Yeah. Uncle is doing very well, I tell you. "

"Well, that's great.", I faked excitement.

"I expected to see you in Natasha's place, but didn't see you there since past few days. "

"So you go there daily?"

He laughs,
"Oh no, no. But yes whenever I manage to get time. And I also have to come here, twice a week so, you know, it's a bit difficult. "

I might have frowned hearing him,

"Yeah, so big of you."

"Oh come'on! Anyway I asked Natasha about you?"

"What did she say?" I wonder.

"She said that you are a busy person." Abir smiles.

I can not believe Nat just said that. First of all she is the one who has told me not to visit her and now she is telling another person that I am the one who is busy.

Does she want me to visit her? I really don't understand. Or she just avoided the question cleverly. Yes she doesn't need to share each and every detail of ours with Abir. I appreciate that.

Suddenly, I hear footsteps and see Suhana. She looks at Abir and then at me.

Abir pats my shoulder,
"Looks like you really are a busy man, buddy. I'll take a leave now."

I nod my head. After Abir goes away, I grab Suhana's arm and take her to the garden area before dad can see her.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

"Yash please hear me out once. I'm in so much pain and I know you are in pain too."

"Suhana, we can talk about this later. If dad sees you, it will be a problem. "

"Just answer my one question and then I will leave."

"Suhana...!! "

"Just one question, I promise."

"Okay, hurry up."

"Can't we be together like before? You know what happened through my hand wasn't intentional." She cries.

I take a step behind.

"I need some time Suhana. I really had enough. And you have to understand this. But what you did is unforgettable."

She cuts me off by saying,
"Fine, you take your time. But you won't think about leaving me. I love you Yash. And I know that you love me too. I will wait for you." Suhana hugs me and then leaves.

I keep standing there. What am I gonna do? My heart isn't ready yet to accept Suhana as the old Suhana whom I'd loved. Dad also won't accept her specially after whatever happened. He wants me with Natasha.

But I don't love Natasha beyond the boundary of a friend. Is it my fault?
