Natasha took the day off, for obvious reasons. It was her birthday after all. It was too late for her to get up in the morning today. Why not? Yash dropped her home around 3 in the morning last night. She would not have thought of leaving Yash that night if there wasn't the pressure of her parents.
Natasha looked at her watch, it said nine o'clock. She quickly picked up the phone and thinking that Yash had probably called and texted a lot. But when she turned the phone on, she did not see anything like that. Rather her inbox was filled with other people’s messages and birthday wishes.
Natasha thought to herself, surely the poor thing was sleeping. There was a lot of stress on him yesterday. And it must have been three-thirty a.m. when he dropped her and reached home. Natasha quickly left him a message,
'Sleep well, sweety.❤❤'
Natasha got freshend up and went downstairs and saw that her parents were still waiting for her without eating.
"You guys haven't eaten yet? But why?", Natasha asked being worried.
Her mom smiled and said, "Today is your birthday, Nat. How can we eat without you? It is not possible."
"But you could have woken me up.", Natasha complained.
Her dad interjected, "How about a family lunch today? We don't get to spend too much family time together. What do you say girl? Do you have other plans?"
Suddenly Natasha hesitated a bit hearing about this lunch plan. She didn't know what to say to her dad. If she said no to her dad, then both of her parents would feel bad. On the other hand, Yash had not said anything about lunch.
But what if Yash had a plan and he became upset about Natasha's making different plans like this? But she couldn't refuse her dad either.
"Sounds fun. We will definitely have a family lunch today, dad.", Natasha said.
"Great! Let me book a table for 3 of us after breakfast.", Her dad said in an exciting tone.
Natasha's mom said, "Let's call Sarah too. That child helped us a lot last night."
"Okay mom, I'll call her and ask her if she could join us at the lunch time.", Natasha said.
"So, table for 4 then.", her dad confirmed.
Natasha ate her breakfast. She was just walking around the room. Because Yash hadn't called her yet. It would be nice to talk to him once.
Nat thought, Yash couldn't be sleeping till then. She called him, but no answer. Nat called him again but again, no answer. She got little worried. At 12:30, she along with her parents went for the lunch. Sarah joined them directly from her office.
Sarah noticed that Nat was little absent minded the whole time.

So, in excuse of going to washroom, she took Nat with her. "Will you tell me what's going on?", Sarah asked Nat.
"I don't know ya, Sarah. What's wrong with Yash? He hasn't called me, hasn't even messaged me since last night.", Nat sadly replied.
