Today was the 15th day since Yash had left. Natasha was just praying that her visa got approved soon. Because the longer the delay, the more the situation would get out of control.
Meanwhile, there was an issue of applying for leave in the hospital. Natasha was quite worried about this. Because as long as the day to go to Italy was not fixed, she couldn't apply for leave. The situation was very complex.
Natasha's mother came to her several times and asked, "Baby, are you sure? Do you want to think again?"
And every time Natasha's response was the same,
"I have nothing to think about. If I don't go to Italy, I'll regret it for the rest of my life."Natasha's days were spent in turmoil. She could not concentrate on her work even after trying a lot. Finally, after 18 days, Natasha received a notice that her visa had been approved.
Now her job was to check the flight schedule to Italy and apply for leave in the hospital accordingly. Natasha quickly checked the flight schedule and found a great time to fly Italy within two days. She needed to apply for the leave now. But to her utter disappointment, her application for leave wasn't approved. They offered to permit the leave later but not immediately. Natasha requested them saying that it was urgent and just a matter of 3/4 days. Her visa would expire soon but the authority didn't agree.
Now Natasha had to choose either path. And since she had been trying so hard to reach Yash, so be it another hardship. Natasha gave her resignation and left.
The thought flashed through Natasha's mind that had she done something wrong by leaving her job like that. But then she strengthened herself. The hospital for which she did so much, if the hospital did not understand her problem in the slightest bit, then there was no point in staying there.
Natasha returned home with a tired look. Her parents were both at work. At the moment they couldn't be told in any way that she had quit her job. Sarah couldn't also be told this. If they got to know, they would think Natasha had gone really crazy.
On the one hand, it seemed that she had done well by quitting her job. Natasha had noticed many times that the nurses or other doctors would deliberately bring up Abir's topic in front of her and want to see her reaction. She didn't want to work in this type of environment anymore.
Natasha booked her flight to Milan. She informed her parents, Sarah and Yash's dad about this. On the day of her flight, Sarah came to see her off at the airport.
"I hope you find what you are longing for.""Thanks Sarah, I really need your wishes. "
"Have a safe journey. Love you, bye."
"Bye, love you too."
Natasha took her seat. Her heart was pounding very fast within her chest. She had to complete almost 9 hours of journey. Each minutes were taking her closer to Yash. She couldn't wait to see him.
Natasha woke up from sleep as she heard the announcement that, the plane was about to land. Natasha looked out from the window. Was she really in Milan?? It was unbelievable.
Natasha was finally in Milan. What a beautiful city! It was already 4pm. The sky was cloudy. She needed to find Yash as soon as possible.Natasha reached Solferino, where Yash lived. It was already 6 pm when she reached there. She faced some difficulties to find the exact road and block and then the exact building.
Natasha checked if Yash was online or not. But he wasn't. She walked around to find a telephone booth but didn't find one. Suddenly it started raining. Natasha ran to get cover but she was already wet.
When it stopped raining, Natasha began to look for Yash's building again. After searching a lot she found the building.
She tended to enter but the security guard blocked her. She tried to talk to him in english but the man didn't understand. Natasha tried to make him understand with her hands, in sign language but all went in vain.Natasha took her phone out to show him Yash's photo. This was the last hope. But her phone ran out of battery. Natasha felt so helpless. It was dark in the night, she couldn't go inside the building, her clothes were all wet, Yash's number was in her phone and her phone was dead too. As if she was carrying a pile of misfortune over her shoulders.
Natasha sat down on a stone at the entrance of the building. There weren't many people walking on the street. Whoever were passing through they were looking at Natasha and wondering what the girl in wet dress was doing there.
Natasha was thinking what she should do now. She felt like crying and a drop of tear rolled over her cheek. A footstep stopped before her. She got afraid and looked upwards.
The person being very shocked, came forward and kept looking at her and said,
"Nat?"
