Chapter 28

BOYFRIENDS

After few hours of sleep Mew woke up without Gulf on his side. He checked the time and it's almost  ten in the morning. 'why did he wake up so early?' Mew asked to himself and look for Gulf inside the room but he wasn't able to see him. He goes downstairs and find him there but still no one. He called him but his phone is unreachable. Nervousness is growing inside him 'Did he just leave me?' Mew asked to himself. He went back to the room and get his staffs and run downstairs and there he saw Gulf just got inside the condo. Mew is relieved to see Gulf again, he run towards him and hug him tightly. Gulf is surprised by the sudden hug. He puts down the things he bought and turn to face Mew. As he look at him, he saw a few drops of tears. 'Hey, why are you crying? Did something happened?' Gulf asked. Mew shook his head before he answered. 'I thought you left me. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. I really can't stop myself from overthinking' 'Why would I leave you?  it's my condo if there's someone who should leave, it's you' Gulf answered playfully trying to cheer up Mew but he failed. 'Haysh, it was just a joke okay, I just went to the nearby convenience store to buy these, we're running out of food. Why would I leave my boyfriend?' Gulf added. 'smile na moo, I'm here, i'm just here and will always be' Gulf said and smiled sweetly. With what he said Mew finally smile then asked 'what you just said? moo?' 'Yes, my only one. Happy?' Gulf answered happily. Mew then said. 'hmm, I like that  Can I kiss you?' 'Ah, so you change, before you kept stealing kisses and now you're asking for it?' Gulf teased. Mew just giggled and kissed him. They then prepared breakfast together. While eating, Gulf asked. 'Don't you have work today?' 'Naah, I'll ask Run that I'll take a leave for a week. How about you?' Mew answered. 'I'm still in an infinite leave. I don't feel like working though' Gulf said. 'Hmm, if that's the case why don't we plan something to do for the whole week?' Mew asked. 'okay, but for now let's finish breakfast, then I'll go back to sleep, I'm still sleepy you know' Gulf said. 

After eating and washing the dishes together, they went back to the room and lay down on the bed. They were talking about random topics until they reach talking about what they have. 'Baby, Gulfie, maybe we have to buy a new phone, you know for personal use' Mew said. 'what do you mean?' Gulf asked in confusion. 'Ah, you know. Now that were officially together, we should be careful not to let anyone know. I don't want our private life to be destroyed. I'm surrounded by media and business matters. I don't want us to be judged.' Mew said trying to convince Gulf. Mew noticed Gulf's saddened expression. 'I understand!' Gulf said sadly. 'Baby, please don't be mad!' Mew said trying to explain more but Gulf interrupted him. 'No need, I understand, I'm afraid too. I don't want to ruin your career or your life. I've been there, so I understand' 'what do you mean by you've been there?' Mew asked. 'Hmm, would it be okay If I'll talk about my ex?' Gulf answered. Mew doesn't want to hear it, he's afraid  to know that Gulf haven't moved on yet. But he nodded, he needs to know this, he have to know the person he loves the most. Gulf then started sharing. 'Tharn, way back then was a famous lead vocalist of a local band, we were schoolmates. His father doesn't like him to study music but he didn't listen. He pursued his dream and that made his relationship with his father worst. We became boyfriends when we're both in third year in college. Everything was okay, until he introduced me to his family and with that, he was kicked out in the family. We were called faggot by his father. He kept telling us that what we have is wrong. So, I let Tharn stay with me, we live together in the apartment my aunt gave me before she died. Everything's fine, I continued working part time and studying while he's doing the same. After a year of being together, he introduced me to his band mates and everyone was happy. Well except for their guitarist who has hidden hatred towards him. They had a gig in a festival here and Tharn invited me, we were both happy that time. However, at the end of the show, the guitarist exposed our relationship. Well, not really expose since we didn't really hide it from the start but we don't brag it out either. After what happened, Tharn went to the US to his friend Cloud. I thought he went there to avoid the issue but I was wrong, I just found out the truth this year, He went there because of his health issue. That time we were in the newspaper and the subject of gossip so I understand him but I got difficulty facing those judgments alone but after few months everything went back to normal, like nothing happened. He came back here before the graduation day, I graduated but he didn't. I was happy at the same time sad. We continued living until one day I found out that he has cancer.  I asked help from anyone even to his father but his father didn't help any. Until he died and the bad thing is, I wasn't able to help him. He died in my arms, I felt so useless that time.'
