Adora

Nothing was said between the two as they traveled through Hordak's lab. There were many containment units, with what Adora could only assume were experiments stuffed within them. Adora couldn't seem to shake the feeling that they were watching her. Adora rubbed her arm a bit anxiously as Hordak finally came to a stop and turned to her, crossing his arms impatiently as he gestured for her to speak.

"Well?" he urged, his tone clearly annoyed as Adora sighed and rubbed the back of her head in an attempt to find the words she truly wanted to say.

"It's... it's about the Battle of Thaymore..." Adora started softly, her eyes narrowing in an aggravated type of manner. "I don't think we should have attacked Thaymore... it seemed to be no more than a civilian town..." Adora told Hordak, who blinked absently. His eyes hesitated on Adora for a moment as he sighed and shook his head.

"Of course it was a civilian town, this is a war, Force Captain Adora, not a playground," his eyes turned dangerous as Adora's mouth twitched downward, "you have to be ready to defeat anyone in war, you have to be prepared to lose it all..." his face softened for a moment, before going back to its normal state. Hordak placed a hand on Adora's shoulder. "I know you don't agree with my tactics, but this is how we will prevail... then there will be peace."

Adora's lip lifted in disgust as she slapped Hordak's hand off of her shoulder and took a threatening step forward. "So you're just going to sacrifice a bunch of innocent lives just to justify your 'peace' in the end?!" Adora spat, her eyes filled with rage as tears swelled up and she shook her head. "I mean no disrespect, but I don't believe this is the best way to do things, sir!" she exclaimed, her tone even.

Hordak's gaze sharpened as he lunged forward and dug his nails into Adora's neck, causing a bit of blood to spurt from it and trickle down. Adora hissed in pain. "What right do you think you have to tell me what to do?" Hordak growled as Adora struggled against his grip. Hordak's eyes narrowed as he huffed and threw her to the floor. "Remember who's in charge here..." he muttered as Adora coughed, desperately attempting to catch her breath as her hand traveled to her neck and felt the sticky liquid against her fingertips.

"Lord Hord--" Adora whispered hoarsely, but was quickly interrupted.

"Leave!" Hordak snapped, gesturing for her to leave the room. Adora stared at him quietly before gritting her teeth and standing up and leaving him quietly. As she left, she glanced backwards and noticed that Hordak was standing over his desk, a desperate expression written on his face as he clenched his teeth together.

Sighing, Adora left him to himself, returning to where she had left Catra waiting.

"Catra?" She asked, approaching as she noticed that Shadow Weaver was knocked out on the ground. Gasping, she raced toward her and immediately checked her pulse. She let out a relieved sigh as she frowned and glanced around.

Catra was gone.

Catra

Uneven breathing began to escape Catra's lips as she increased her pace, her eyes narrowed as she didn't allow them to break away from the figure. Not even for a second. Her feet pounded against the hard floor of the hallways, sending a thudding sensation up her legs and into her torso as she rounded a corner after him. Catra dug her nails into the palm of her hand. What she had seen before had really shaken her senses up, sending her into a state of erratic panic. However, her eyes stayed slitted and focused on her target as she slowly began to catch up with him. If she had seen what she had believed she had seen, then there was no way she was going to let him escape. She needed answers.
