I woke up today with the biggest nerves ever. Different things were racing through my mind, like what was right and what was wrong.

What was best for my child? Could Leuca just raise a human child one more time? Maybe if it was me he would? If it was a vampire child would I even have a say in its raising?

If I became an old and ugly wrinkled lady would he separate me from my child? I couldn't assume any of it, I had to choose for myself for once. I didn't have a future here no matter what my feelings begged me to do.

And still, I had no idea when it was going to happen. I just started my day off normally and went to the kitchen to get my breakfast.

I nodded at Liane who nodded back at me. "What time is lunch?" I asked Liane, as a double meaning in the hope she would release a bit more information for me.

Anthony was chuckling and saying I could come to eat whenever I wanted to like usual. Liane understood me though and answered, "yeah like usual, but around two is fine. Want to eat lunch with the master in the lounge room?"

"Ah, do you expect him to be there then?"

She nodded, "usually he is so we are expecting that yeah."

Anthony and the others in the kitchen had no clue about the conversation we just had. The plan relied again on predicting Leuca's location which most of the time in the afternoon would be the lounge room.

I thanked her and grabbed my breakfast to eat in the dining hall. My muscles still felt quite weak and I wasn't feeling too well but I couldn't show weakness now.

After eating breakfast it was around eleven. I peeked into our room but Leuca wasn't there anymore. Had he already taken his break? His laptop was gone so was he working in his office so I couldn't disturb him? I walked into our walk-in closet and grabbed a pair of heels from the top shelf. I reached into it and pulled out the silver steak knife I had stolen in the first months I had been here.

Leuca had taken me out to buy clothes and painting supplies, I had swiped that knife in case I needed it once. I wouldn't be able to beat Leuca in a one-on-one fight. And I doubt I could even if he was highly intoxicated. He was more of a monster than I had ever imagined. His strength amazed me every time.

I had changed myself in a short black flowy skirt and a white woolens sweater with large sleeves and a v neckline. The reason I pulled this sweater on was that it had elastic around my wrists so the knife would just easily fall out. And because the sleeves were so puffy, its presence shouldn't be detected either.

I looked around if I needed anything more but didn't think so and lounged around for a little longer. I decided to go to the lounge room at one to see if Leuca was there and to get him to drink as much as possible.

I had made up my mind. My child will be number one, I will escape and start a life of my own. Even if it meant leaving the man I secretly have felt in love with, maybe even seeing him get killed in front of my eyes.

All to protect the precious life inside my womb.

I peeked inside the lounge room and saw many vampires but I didn't see Leuca anywhere near the center. Where the fuck was he?

I searched in the dining hall and didn't find him, I even bumped into Liane who had a look of panic on her face. She had mouthed me where Leuca was but I truly didn't know! The only place left would be his office.

I knocked on the door and opened it, I peeked inside and saw Leica sitting at his desk with a troubled look on his face.

Christina, Jillian, William, Peter, and Wyatt all sat on the large couch at the side. "Everything alright Riley?" Christina asked, "I can't go outside with you right now..."
