I slept a lot after that punishment and honestly, I didn't get up from that spot on the rug for five full days. The maid, I had learned was named Bethany though Beth was fine.

She was the one to care for me the past few days, Leuca didn't even spare me a glance. He worked at his desk and slept in his bed without a hello to me. Most of the time I acted like I was asleep just to avoid him.

We were supposed to go out and buy clothes I actually would wear and some sort of equipment or something but Beth told me Leuca wanted to postpone that until I was fit enough to walk around. He also wanted a different collar for me, I still wore that tacky one I received from Caleb.

After a few days, I woke up with almost no pain. I had looked at my back in the mirror and still saw some lashes but strangely it mostly healed.

Magically.

So weird, it's just like what had happened after Caleb had almost killed me and Leuca somehow healed all my wounds back then. I shrugged it off, I'd ask him someday. I don't want to speak to him right now quite frankly.

I started to walk around a little around the room but with the disappearing pain came boredom. I had no idea if I was allowed to leave but he could've left something for me to do then, which he didn't so I would go and find something for me to do.

Isn't it coincidental that the Lord we were supposed to kill that day was Leuca? I had studied the blueprints of this house numerous times, I knew exactly where to go to find the slave quarters. I also knew exactly where to find the exit, should I try my luck now? I wasn't fit in the slightest if my attempt failed now then I would be watched more carefully.

I stood at the splitting towards the exit and decided to walk towards the slave quarters. It wasn't smart to attempt an escape now, I had to gain more physical strength, a weapon, and some trust.

It was an advantage to me that Leuca didn't know I was part of the raid supposedly that should've been the end of him. What went wrong that day?

I arrived at the quarters and pushed open the doors, it was basically a long hallway with rooms on opposite sides where multiple shared a room. I knocked on the first one and a boy around the age of sixteen or something opened the door.
His eyes widened as he looked me up and down, "hi, I'm looking for Bethany?"

"You're... You're not supposed to leave the masters room!" The boy panicked and held his hand in front of his mouth. "God, now I'm complicit as well!"

I held up my hands to calm him down, "easy, I'm allowed to walk around!" It maybe was a lie, I truly didn't know. He didn't state I had to stay in that room right? I was beginning to doubt myself, maybe I selectively didn't hear him specify.

He didn't seem to believe me, "are you sure?" He still seemed hesitant.

I nodded and proudly placed my hands on my waist, "I'm really sure, Leuca told me I could explore as long as I was back in time." I grinned.

Now his face fell again, oops, I shouldn't call him by his name I guess? "I mean, the master." I corrected myself, "still learning the whole pet thingy." I was throwing up inside my mind.

He nodded, "I forgot, you're from..." The boy leaned in closer, "the outside world right?"

I nodded, it's sad most of these slaves don't know how the sea even looks like or what a beach is. They didn't learn to read or write if their position didn't call for it. Their world was these walls and maybe the garden. "So where is Beth?"

"Oh yeah, room 41. It's around the corner on the left." He pointed down the hallway so I nodded and thanked him and wave him goodbye. Most slaves were looking at me with interest, some even had sparkling eyes and some didn't seem as happy to see me? I didn't know why but alas.
