I can be such a dumbass, how could I have fallen for such an easy trick? Leuca was a trickster and I walked right into his trap.
I assumed we would just go out and while I'm public I would behave for today, just while we were in public! "Leuca, you tricked-"
He clicked his tongue at me and wiggled his finger disappointingly in front of my face. "No, no, no... You listened poorly, Riley. You can just step out of our deal..."
What? No! I behaved in public, I could've made a scene and I didn't! I deserve those pillows and blanket. But... Damn, I was in such an impasse.
If I step out now then the past hours of behaving are thrown out of the window. I grumbled, "you're horrible, my Lord."
Yep, I tasted a bit of barf in the back of my throat.
He showed a victory smile, it was written all over his vampire face. "I am, my pet... How about going to the lounge room and have some fun?" He was deliberately teasing mine.
His hand was softly trailing up my arm, past my shoulder, and along my neck to my cheek. He softly patted my cheek with the back of his fingers. "You're very welcome to go there, my Lord. However, it is dinner time in less than half an hour."
"That's true, then we'll go there afterward." He agreed somewhat with me, by that time I have to think of something else to avoid going to that lounge.
I awkwardly waited for him to say anything else because right now I was just looking at the wall trying to find something interesting. I wasn't actually allowed to look at him, a proper pet avoided eye contact. I had been staring towards the wall and hadn't noticed him leaning in close. "Won't you be my starter, Riley? He whispered.
I felt his fangs scrape my skin lightly. Goosebumps flew across my akin all the wall from my neck down to my toes. What should a proper pet do?
"Won't that be a waste right before dinner, my Lord?" I tried.
He didn't fall for it though. "Hmmm, I'm quite hungry so I could use a starter. Lean your head back, Riley." He ordered me.
God... I was about to do so and just as I was about to give in, my own disappointed expression trotted into my mind. How could I do this to myself? "No, Leuca..." I pushed him away and looked him into his eyes.
The rage was prominent in his eyes, he thought he had me didn't he? "Riley..." He warned.
I shrugged, "yeah no, I've already gone way too far with this. Screw a blanket or pillows, my dignity is worth-"
The slapping sound confused me for a moment and the way my neck was twisted as far to the side as it possibly could. Only then the stinging sensation on my cheek made it clear that I was just smacked across the face. I couldn't quite phantom the pain until realization hit me.
I was about to speak again when his palm collided with my other cheek. Ah, I almost had forgotten I was dealing with a vampire. This day had been actually quite enjoyable. Sure I had to choose my own collar but the fact that he allowed me to do so and decide for myself was huge. I had bought painting equipment as well, which none of these slaves here had.
I had let my guard down significantly, obviously, I know I was dealing with a vampire. The knife still in my sleeve was proof of that. But unconsciously I wasn't being as cautious as I first was, which was a problem.
"Fuck-" I was going to curse at him but he lashed out again, which I expected this time so I ducked down, under his swinging arm. "You!" I finished after dodging him perfectly.
I'm sure it only made him angrier. "This is your last warning, behave now or you're going to get it, Riley." He got frighteningly close to me, trying to intimidate me.
