Noon came. The humans were in place on their ships, near boulder islands, waiting patiently for the mermaids. Among them were soldiers, officials, and nobles with their wives.

Many thought that the royal family finally lost it. Waiting for sirens seemed ridiculous. Rumors where spreading like wildfire and impatience ran high... until they saw something incredible.

One by one the mermaids showed themselves elegantly in an orderly fashion. First the Warriors, showing their strength and in their best armor. The helmet was stained purple, the metal with silver trimming. The only other protection besides the helmet was shoulder and chest gaurds. After the small militia the Elders chose for protection were in formation, Kai's mother appeared next. Painted across her abdomen and her cheeks were purple stars. This simply ment that she birthed a Celestial (a mermaid special to Luna). She was accompanied by two pink dolphins, a sign of respect. These dolphins were from the sanctuary Kai guarded.

The humans whispered about their new alliance members.

" They are real?!"

"How do they repopulate?"

"Women as soldiers?"

"Their armor it's very... creative and artisian like but is it strong?"

"Are they dangerous?"

"Do they have powers?"

"Is their species all mixed color and blood?"

"Can mer people even defend themselves, being women?"

These were some of the many whispered questions of the gossip with in the human side. Caesar glanced at his son. Edmond was watching intently, but only searching for that special someone.

Caesar grinned and returned to watching the mermaids unite. He knew that this was partially for show and intimidation purposes.

After Pearl, Kai's mother, took her place among the rocks, three of the seven members of the Elders Council were presented; all wearing a crafted, iron seaweed sash, with a tinted green, symbolizing leadership. Lunae phases were paimted om their heads. Aquila had the full moon painted on her forehead, because she was the primary chieftan.

All in all, the mer people were a very good looking people but they were nothing compared to what the humans were finally about to see.

The Elders decide to present Kai last because she convinced them to agree to this meeting.

She wore a yellow starfish on the side of her hair, a symbol of peace. The curling waves of her hair were pinned up into an elegant bun, a similar fashion to the human women. Her mother had cleaned her hair with jellyfish gels to give it radiance. And as tradition of the mer people the one who wore the yellow star would be made "A Vision of Beauty" showing that peace is beautiful. The paint on her face brought out the brightness of her violet eyes and rosey lips. A shell and pearl necklace was around her neck, emphasizing it's swan like appearance. More could be done to describe her charm, however to get to the point, she was ugly before this meeting. That's how fine, and graceful she looked in this moment.

The humans whispered and gossiped about Kai.

"That's her, the mermaid who stole the princes heart."

"She's enchanting."

"I heard she is... rather improper for a woman."

"Improper?"

"Outspoken..."

"She is colored?"

"What's her name?"

"I've heard she's thousands of years old!"

"Is she of royal blood?"

"How did she turn our prince into a... gentleman?"

"Hasn't she slaughtered thousands of humans? ... can we trust them?"

These were some of the many parts of the gossip in human conversing. The mermaids too, we're curious about the humans but they were much more quiet and discreet.

Despite all the chaos, Edmond didnt hear a word. He lost his breath at the sight.
