Jungkook headed to the toilet, his mind in a complete mess. He was exhausted of constantly putting up a fake smile for people who only knew how to discredit his talent, discredit him and still be shameless about it. People like them made him sick, and he felt even worse having no choice but to suck it up and pretend like everything was alright on the outside.

Everything sucked.

Jungkook looked around furtively, making no one was around before he kicked a wall... hard. It felt good for two seconds, but that still didn't help him to completely let go of all the anger and frustration he felt back there in the suffocating radio studio. He felt like he was being driven up the wall.

"You're DJ Yoo, am I right? Hi, may I have a quick word with you?

Jungkook was nearing the toilet when he heard a familiar voice and quickly hid behind the nearest pillar he could get his hands on. Slowly and carefully, Jungkook peeked out from behind the pillar. His blood boiled again the moment he spotted that same show host whose hand he shook a while ago.

"Sorry, but who are you?"

And standing right outside the toilet, opposite him... was Lee Jieun. Jungkook raised his eyebrows in surprise. What was she doing here, talking to this guy?

"It doesn't matter who I am-" Jieun said calmly. "I guess you could just say that I'm someone who cares a lot about the guy you just humiliated on live radio."

Jungkook froze. Someone who cared a lot about him...?

"Huh?" DJ Yoo frowned. "Oh, JK? You're a friend of his?"

"I already said it didn't matter-" Jieun said vaguely, not wanting to give away her full identity to avoid complications in the future. "But DJ Yoo, when I see injustice, I have no choice but to interfere - especially when it comes to Jeon Jungkook."

For some odd reason, what Jieun said gave Jungkook butterflies in his stomach.

DJ Yoo clucked his tongue agitatedly, trying to push past Jieun. "Who on earth are you? I don't know what you're talking about. If you have nothing urgent, please excuse me-"

"See? There you go, being rude again-" Jieun blocked his path before he could leave. "DJ Yoo... seems like this is a bad habit of yours."

"What the hell do you want?"

"Don't you think you were being extremely disrespectful earlier when you said those things?"

Jungkook inhaled sharply. Jieun understood.

"Which part are you talking about? I can't remember-"

"Excuses-" Jieun scoffed. "If you had the memory of a goldfish, I don't think you could even become a radio show host. Come on, DJ Yoo - think. Do you even know what you did wrong?"

DJ Yoo lowered his head. "If you're talking about the questions about Jennie-ssi, I already explained to him that I knew that was what his fans wanted to hear about, and that's why I asked those things. He already accepted my apology, so you can let go of it now."

"You really don't get it, do you?" Jieun folded her arms, eyeing DJ Yoo with a small frown. "The question in itself was uncomfortable, but passing those ignorant comments after that was just plain disrespectful."

Jungkook couldn't believe his ears. Jieun hit it on the nail - the things she said was exactly how he felt back there, in that moment. And why was she speaking up for him? They had just gotten into a small argument earlier too...
