<OST: Winter Flower - Younha ft. RM>
Chaos broke out at the press conference.
"So you're not dating Lee Jieun... does that mean you're still dating Jennie Kim?"
"Fans have been speculating that the two of you have broken up, is that true?"
"Jennie Kim, please say a few words! Are the two of you still going strong or are things rocky in your relationship?"
"Jungkook-ssi! What about-"
"Everyone, please calm down!" Seokjin interjected, before turning to Jungkook and Jennie. "JK and Jennie Kim will answer all those questions in a short while, but please remain calm."
Jungkook and Jennie exchanged nervous glances. They had already agreed on what to say this morning, before the press conference - but now that they were finally here... it was harder than they had expected it to be. Jungkook slowly lifted the mic up to his mouth, as the reporters watched on in suspenseful silence.
"As we can all tell, many of you have the same question..." Jungkook began. "And that very same question... is whether Jennie Kim and I have broken up. To answer that question, Jennie-ssi has a few words to say."
Seokjin and Jimin stood at a side, nodding their heads in anticipation, egging them on. They had met earlier this morning and agreed on their final decision - deny all accusations and affirm that they were still dating. That would be was best solution for everyone - Jennie and Jungkook had agreed.
Jennie slowly picked up her mic, her hands shaking a little from all the attention that was on her. But she put on a brave front, took a deep breath and cleared her throat before she spoke.
"The answer to that is that..." Jennie glanced at Jungkook, who gave her a affirmative nod. "The two of us have not broken up."
Jimin and Seokjin exchanged looks of relief. They were both afraid that the two were up to something, that they were going to deviate from what they agreed upon... but everything was okay now, finally there was going to be peace-
But Jennie wasn't done.
"There's no way Jungkook and I can break up..." Jennie said, her voice trembling as she glanced uneasily at the reporters who were murmuring softly amongst themselves. She got to her feet, gave Jungkook one final meaningful look before turning turning to face the reporters boldly. "Since we've never ever dated to begin with."
What happened next was just a whirlwind of events in both Jungkook and Jennie's minds. Jennie struggled to continue speaking into the mic and explaining her side of the story, as a group of staff rushed onto the stage to whisk them off. Jungkook tried to fend a few guys away from Jennie and shove his mic in her direction, but the mics were soon cut off and before they knew it, they were being swept out of the room.
The last thing Jungkook remembered before leaving the room was the looks of immense shock on both Hoseok and Chungha's familiar faces.
Then he completely lost sight of them... and everyone else.

"Ya-"
"What?" Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as Jennie dragged him into an empty room backstage earlier that morning. "What is it?"
"Shh-" Jennie put a finger on her lips as she glanced around furtively, making sure that no one else was in the room with them. "Keep your volume down."
Jungkook frowned, clearly perplexed by what Jennie was up to. "What is it? Why did you drag me here all of a sudden? Don't we both need to prepare for the press conference?"
