<OST: Like a fool - 2AM>

Jieun sat in her seat, completely spaced out.

Jungkook had completely ignored her. The moment she stepped into the office, their eyes met briefly, but then Jungkook's eyes quickly darted away and he began talking to Seokjin, as if Jieun wasn't even there. And Jieun hated it - she rather him yell at her, get mad at her, because at least that showed that he still cared. But completely ignoring her... made Jieun feel even worse.

"Lee Jieun-ssi...?"

She had rummaged through the box Seokjin had returned earlier this morning, fishing out the brown diary in which she hadn't written in for a long, long time. But before she had penned down her true feelings towards Jungkook before she had finally stopped writing... and she wanted to let Jungkook read it. It was her last hope, perhaps, getting that diary in Jungkook's hands.

"Lee Jieun-ssi!"

Jieun finally snapped back to attention, after the third call from the counter staff seated in front of her. "H-Huh...? Oh, I'm sorry, I completely spaced out..."

"That's okay," the lady said with a polite smile as she handed Jieun the contract. "So... just to check with you, you joined the company on this date... and you're leaving today, on this date... Is it correct? Make sure you check your name before signing."

Jieun browsed through the document briefly before leaving her signature at the bottom.

"Thank you." The lady took the document and signed it as well, right next to Jieun's signature. "The early termination fee has been settled by our company's artist, so you're now free to go."

Our company's artist, meaning Jeon Jungkook.

"Thank you."

Jieun pursed her lips as she rose to her feet, bowing a little before leaving the room.

He really wanted her out of here as soon as possible, just like how it was with his house, huh... He wanted her out of his life so bad that he was even willing to pay her hefty early termination fee. And over the past few days, Jieun had thought about it a lot. If that was what he truly wanted, like what he had said... so be it. If he really never wanted to see her ever again because it upset him... so be it. She'd vanish from his sight ever again. It pained her, but she was determined to do it for his sake. But before that, she had to get that diary in his hands. Whether he chose to read it or not was his own choice - she just didn't want to do something she'd end up regretting.

But now that he refused to even look at her - not to mention, talk to her - was there still any way she could do so...? Maybe Seokjin could help her... yes. Seokjin still spoke to her, maybe she could just be shameless for one last time and ask him to do her a favour. She wasn't even hoping for Jungkook to forgive her at this point, she just wanted him to understand and move on. But how...?

Jieun turned the corner.

The door to the stairwell opened and Jieun felt a hand grasp around her wrist, yanking her through the door. Jieun squeezed her eyes tight in fright, letting out a small pained squeal as she felt herself being pushed against the wall, the door to the stairwell slamming behind her with a loud bang.
