<OST: It's You - Chungha>

And so, the concert began.

It started off on a high note, with sparklers shooting into the sky and Jungkook flying out onto the stage from right under. The next few hours were filled with music, fanatic screaming and it was just overall, a night of good music and high spirits. The whole time, Jungkook had his eyes fixed on Jieun whom he had located at the very beginning.

After all, she inspired him.

And the whole time, she only had eyes for him as well. Jieun felt like crying at certain parts of the concert - she was overwhelmed with emotion, seeing the person she loved so dearly finally being able to do what he loved most... performing on stage and singing his heart out to the songs he composed single-handedly. Especially when he sang Euphoria - the song he had written with her in mind - with his eyes glued onto her... Jieun could feel him speaking directly to her, and couldn't help but let the tears flow. Thankfully, the people around her were way too busy focusing on him that they didn't notice her crying... even better, they didn't even recognise her.

Time flew by.

Before anyone knew it, it had already come to the end of the night and it was time for Jungkook to make his closing statements. He appeared on the stage a few seconds after performing his banger of a last song - My Time - and stood before his large screaming crowd, panting as he waited for everyone to quieten down so that he could speak. It sure took some time for everyone to stop yelling and to finally listen to him, but they eventually did... and Jungkook flashed them a bright grin before finally speaking.

Jieun was still recovering from a whole night of a roller coaster of emotions... but she was all ears to what he had to say. She couldn't be more proud.

"Hello, everyone, it's JJK."

Excited screams filled the concert hall once more, but some sensible people hissed for them to "shh-" and everyone slowly calmed down once more.

"Thank you-" Jungkook said with a smile as he adjusted his mic, his eyes squinting as they frantically scanned the crowd for Jieun once more.

Jieun just sat there, waiting, because she knew he'd eventually find her.

And he did. Just moments later, when his eyes swept past her row and their eyes met once more. This truth was further confirmed by the way a grin spread across his face in that very moment, and Jungkook had to purse his lips to hide it as much as he could. But Jieun saw, and she knew, and the corners of her lips curled up into a proud smile as well.

"It's weird, standing here before all of you," Jungkook admitted with a shy chuckle, as he ruffled his hair a little. "It's kinda unfamiliar, to be honest. Because for six years - coming on seven whole years - of my career... I never really had an opportunity like this."

A depressed "oh~" filled the concert hall as his fans' hearts ached for him.

"But that's alright!" Jungkook smiled brightly. "Because as they say, the longer you wait for something, the more you appreciate it when you get it... because anything worth having is definitely worth waiting for."

A loud cheer filled the hall, and Jieun couldn't help but brim with pride.

"So many things have happened since I embarked on this new journey," Jungkook said into his mic, glancing in Jieun's direction. "Through all this, I would like to thank all the people who have stood by me and supported me. Firstly, I would like to thank all of you, my precious fans whom I love very, very much-"

"Lies!"

A loud voice filled the concert hall from near the front, causing Jungkook to freeze. Everyone in the crowd began to talk amongst themselves, and the concert hall began to fill up with chitter-chattering.
