chapter 120: never letting go

"Hyejin-ssi-" Jisoo walked over to Hyejin, who was patiently waiting for the filming to end so that she could carry on her second part of the interview. "Hoseok sunbae-nim is calling."

"Oh-?" Hyejin raised her eyebrows in surprise as she took her phone from Jisoo. "Thanks, Jisoo sunbae-nim."

Jisoo smiled. "Don't worry about it."

Hyejin smiled at Jisoo before picking up the phone nervously. "Hello...?"

"Hyejin-ssi!" Hoseok exclaimed. "We're watching your footage back here at the office... you're doing great!"

Hyejin thought something had gone wrong. She heaved a sigh of relief.

"Oh-" Hyejin let out a small chuckle. "Thank you, Hoseok sunbae-nim. To be frank with you... I'm pretty nervous."

"No, no, no!" Chungha took the phone from Hoseok. "It really doesn't show on camera at all, Hyejin-ssi! You're doing a good job, keep it up! The questions too - they were crafted very well. All of us here are really, really impressed."

Hyejin let out a little chuckle. "Thank you, Chungha sunbae-nim. Do you have any advice for me for the second part of my interview with the cast after this?"

"Not me... haha-" Chungha paused. "But I think... I think someone else might want to speak to you."

"Huh?" Hyejin raised her eyebrows. "Who?"

There was a brief struggle on the other end of the line.

"Come on, don't be shy-"

"No, no, no, no, no-"

"Don't keep Hyejin-ssi waiting-"

"YA! Jung Hoseok, stop pushing me-!"

"Bujang-nim! Will you just-"

The corners of Hyejin's lips curled upwards as she listened on.

"I didn't say I wanted to talk-"

"Well, too bad!"

"Bujang-nim, stop being a wimp!"

"I'm a what now? Ya- the two of you-"

Then... silence.

"Hello...?" A familiar voice spoke on the other end of the line. "Hyejin-ssi, hi. Hi, it's me, Kim bujang."

Hyejin grinned as she took her seat. "Yeah, I know."

Namjoon cleared his throat loudly. "Er... you heard what your sunbae-nims told you, right? You're doing a good job - we're all so proud of you over here."

"Thank you, bujang-" Hyejin smiled. "And thank you for trusting me with this whole project."

"Well, you earned it-" Namjoon said without hesitation. "You're the one who scored the interview - you should be the one doing it."
